One simple question for Tea Partiers:

Where were you people when Bush was blowing the Clinton surplus and racking up debt ?
I don't recall any TeaBag wearing Tea Partiers holding rallies.
It just proves you guys are a bunch of racist partisan hacks.

On Green Energy:

From the Wall Street Journal:

U.S. Solar Market Continues Fast Growth - Study
Solar panels cost more then they return in energy and they have about a twenty year life expectancy. not to mention billions wasted on solar companies that went out of business, that wasted our taxpayer money.

Our children will still be paying on the debt we are heaping on them, long after any benefits of out lavish spending have expired. You have no clue what our interest rates will be in the future, if we hit 5% then our country may be paying over $1 trillion a year just on debt payments.

I did say debt from irresponsible spending in the first two decades of the 2000s, that includes Bush's debt, so untwist that partisan wad in your panties. We may be looking at $21 or $22 trillion in debt in 2016, with Obama holding the lion;s share, hence his likeness for the statue.

That's why it's so important to develop this new technology to its fullness, and get our children trained in the sciences/maths so they'll be able to reap the benefits of them(good paying, healthy, better for the earth jobs). As long as we learn to stay out of needless wars, learn that a healthier people is more economically viable, and learn that it's not our military that'll win, but ideas/knowledge built around a deeper understanding of geopolitical histories, presents, and futures; and a deeper understanding of how economics actually work. Well, the future will be bright for the children, and the earth will be brighter, too!

No, it just proves you were asleep during that era. We did complain, but a $160 billion deficit will get a crumble, a $400 billion deficit will get john McCain to call out Bush for spending like a drunken sailor, and trillion dollar deficits will get a hue and cry from everyone, except it seems from democrats or liberals.

So we cripple ourselves with punitive EPA regs against coal, and force the closure of coal-fired power plants, without replacing them first?

I'm all for scientific advances, we would all like to get off dirty coal, but let the next technology, prove itself thru open and fair competition, and not have ignorant politicians picking and choosing the winners and losers, while promoting their cronies, at taxpayer expense. Let's have an alternative energy solution to replace what we have now, before we throw it away. What Obama is doing is like burning our bridges in front of us, or slicing off our nose to spite our face.

What I'm saying, is applauding our government while it is throwing billions and billions in deficit dollars at failed companies, with dead end technology, while simultaneously destroying older proven technology, is insane.

You talk about "staying out of needless wars," when Obama involved us in Libya because NATO said so, and now NATO looks to get involved in multiple wars in Africa?

...mercury emissions.... like the ones we are putting into the environment by forcing everyone to use CFL bulbs instead on incandecent bulbs.... like that...

Speaking of helping the children.... when you are talking about Climate Change you are talking about doing things to NOT WARM THE PLANET.

You are talking about COOLING THE PLANET.

But what we know from the whole history of mankind that warming periods produce better health, greater scientific discovery, more food and overall greater human standards of living.

We know that from the whole history of man that cooling periods cause civilization to move backward. There is more desiese and pestalence, less food, more misery, lower standards of living and WAR.

So. SAYING it is "for the children" then doing what we KNOW beyond doubt HURTS everyone is kind of sick if you ask me.

How many times do we have to state that there is a vast difference between a 300 million dollar deficit and a 1.2 TRILLION dollar deficit?

So present the proof....Words are cheap. 2012 was the 16th year in a row that saw higher than normal temperatures across Canada.

What do you expect, the same Henny Penny, knee-jerk enthusiasts that forced us to use MTBE "for cleaner air" ended up poisoning our water supplies with it.

It's what happens when ignorant, partisan, ideologically driven politicians and bureaucrats use the power of government to push their pet ideas down the public's throat, and science and common sense go out the window.
