1. It's not that we don't support it, it's that Obama has supported it from day one and is now backtracking.
2. There is no disaster. Nothing will happen. You've bought the hysteria hook like and sinker.
Think before you type.
Obama has a lot of say in terms of what specifically to cut within agencies - he could cut in a manner that would be more painful or less painful. He was already talking about how it is impossible not to find painful cuts...which I believe is not true.
He could make it difficult - to get people angry with the GOP, so that the GOP caves in around late Spring. For example he could release illegal immigrants from prison before that agency's budget is even cut.

He won't go for more painful. He's not stupid. He'll ***** and moan about it, say that puppies are going to die, and his followers will lap it up. Then he'll go right along with it when the time comes. And nothing will happen.

Possibly. But even that is hardly a disaster of epic proportions, and that's assuming he goes for the most painful cuts, which I doubt he will.
It's another 85 billion in cuts for half of a fiscal year, on top of the last round of cuts.
The $85 Billion in cuts, which itself is just over 2% of the federal budget, is from budget authority. This is the amount Congress authorizes an agency to spend under specific programs. It allows an agency the legal authority to enter into contracts or plan spending, a great deal of which may come in subsequent years. Budget outlays, by contrast, are monies the government will actually spend during the fiscal year. According to the CBO, the sequester will force the government to cut around $40 Billion in outlays between Friday and September 30th. - See more at: Sequester Cuts Are Half What the Media Is Reporting

You are correct...Obama is either misinformed or lying* when he claimed this week that he would have to cut over 85 Billion over the next 7 months (Sept. 30th)...The number is around 44 Billion.
*Or he continually misspeaks in a way that coincidentally makes his point stronger.

He's lying. He has a huge staff who can give him the correct info. He just knows that regardless of how much he lies, his lemmings will support him. There is no restraint on his lies.
You sound like a five year old, whining, "But Moooom, he started it!"
Congress voted on it, so they must have wanted it, too. The bottom line is that both sides put this in place, and therefore, both sides own it. Geesh, grow up!
But was the president who refused to set up the needed sequester cuts in case his awesome leadership skills failed him. He had 18 months to have the various admin agencies submit possible cuts. Or he could have read his GAO report that found almost $200 billion worth of cuts.
