I agree that the sequester is somewhat overblown in terms of the scope of cutting. But what's not overdone is the impact it will have on economic growth. We're going to be in a recession after this is done - guaranteed. The recession will last at least a year. The republicans have destroyed economic growth that was taking place under a democratic president because they insist that the only kind of economic growth that's good is that which takes place under a republitard commander in chief.
The question is, what will American voters do? Will they finally wise up and vote for people who support the interests of everyone or will they continue to tune out, watch American Idol, and complain that 'both parties do it'.

So a cut in government spending of half of one percent will cause a recession? Good one.
I would bet we will get some sort of deal in the week. The democrats and republicans both hate to see spending go down, they got to get those pork dollars back home to the constituents.
How exactly are republicans destroying economic growth? Every new regulation passed by your hero sucks money out of the economy, every tax hike sucks money out of the economy. Are you saying republicans are responsible for all that? LOL
Let me guess..................Bush's fault right??

LOLOLOL is that what MSNBC and the other left news media is putting out these days? Oh, vote for people who support our interest. What a freakin joke. Obama is in office and hasn't done a thing. The dems can't even put a budget together and you idiot, you buy the whole thing, then again you probably don't know what a budget is either.
Even with the sequester, the federal government is going to spend more money in 2013 than it did in 2012. $3700 billion will be spent. That's $10.1 billion a day. The sequester is $85 billion [8 days of spending] If you were given $90 to spend in 2011, $100 in 2012, expected to get $110 in 2013 but instead got $108, would you be whinning about 'draconian cuts'?

It very over blown. Why cant operate with the same budget as last year? They need to stop increasing the damn budget. The Republicans haven't destroyed economic growth. Its the growth of welfare. And the wars. And we keep printing money and selling our debt for high interest loans. Businesses are scared to invest.
Agree with your second paragraph. 100% correct. Most people can find an hour a day to keep up to date and research their candidates for upcoming elections.

Businesses don't want to invest under Obama, gees wonder why! businesses are closing shops. Homes are not selling the way they should bologana, we are still in a housing slump.
Gas prices for the life of me, keep going up. Going to buy a damn bike soon. Food is higher. Obama does not know how to get a booming economy going, when he is so busy, making the night-time talk shows circuit.
Don't make a damn difference if you have a degree right now, i know people who do and have graduated and cannot find a damn job. Why is that, in 2008 he promises us, that more people would be working under his adminsitration. Oh really.
Should have been a damn pop star, he is a legion in his own mind. Tell ya this, he is a damn good actor!

The first four months of fiscal year 2013 spending increased 1% over 2012. So, you saw an increase in spending and a decrease in your GDP. So when will Obama and the left take credit for that one?
"This is what the president is saying is a massive and devastating spending "cut."" Rand Paul.
Listening to Obama, you would think there really would be spending cuts rather than a miniscule reduction in the spending increases. But to the worlds biggest spender, a slowing of the increase must be quite stressful.
The joker in the White House is saying a 1% cut will "add hundreds of thousands of Americans to the unemployment rolls. ... The unemployment rate might tick up again."
But 8% unemployment for 4 years is just fine with him. What a joke.
I think the TParty nuts should keep believing that. They definitely should stand for pushing big job cuts.
