I thought you were kidding, but there he is on google! Elected Pope in 913 a.d., died some six months later. Last pope to use an original name until Pope John Paul.

Did Pope Francis support the Military Regime, remain silent or speak out against the Generals ruling Argentina? I would like to see what comes to light!
what position did he hold 30 years ago?

Over the weekend the news was reporting about the secure voting process at the Vatican.
I thought it a simple matter of expecting Cardinals to be honest and asking them not to one up each other and refrain from texting and tweeting.

Obviously the Vatican knows better. Each cardinal was assigned a unique ID to seal their vote. Connectivity has been blocked, rendering technology useless.

Exactly! I read that he's anti-gay marriage and anti-contraception. So business as usual. Not that expected differently. As long as priests are supposed to be celibate (and not even allowed to jack their monkey), the priesthood will attract men who are attempting to hide from their sexual dysfunction. And we've seen how well that's turned out so far

He was ordained in 1969, gave testimony in 2005 regarding a charge during the Dirty Wars of helping a kidnapping before the bishops and was cleared.

Just before he came in 2nd behind Pope Benedict XVI in the conclave.
