I wonder how long it will take Pitbull to throw out a reference to him in one of his songs?

if you are an atheist and dont believe, then why did you bother making this post? I would have thought as an atheist, you would pass over all threads that have any religious titles in them.

I think the poster is taking umbrage at a corporate email network being used to laud the election of a religious figurehead. Many, many companies would, and have agreed, that is not appropriate usage of their corporate site account.

If you want to use your OWN personal email provider and send the message via your OWN PDA or notebook to other co-workers personal email accounts, that's hunky dory, but using a company site. NOPE, Nada, Norsiree!

In my past incarnation I'd have had that person in for a little chat about what may be a minor but nevertheless, a transgression.

Argentina is a melting pot just like the US, with most people claiming descent from European immigrants--they don't have the Mestizo population that other South American countries have.

anybody can say they are catholic. saying your catholic and living that lifestyle are 2 different things.

i would say the majority of people who say they are catholic on the religious identification forms dont even know that a new pope is being selected.
All Christians are catholic. Not all Christians are Catholic.

I am glad the Cardinals elected a Pope. I will be happier if they win the World Series this year.

It makes sense they would pick someone from the global south since that is increasingly where the center of the church will be as it continues its long slow decline in the highly developed world.

I wish the Pope could have been more open minded and accepting. More modern. Ok, I understand that he opposes abortion. However, he also strongly opposes gays and contraception. At his position, you have to change with time. At least that's how I feel. Being against contraception is just absurd.
