First, what makes you so sure?
Second, what are you going to do if they don't?

The chance that the SCOTUS will ban same sex marriage is nearly nonexistent. There is no legal view to support that.

It's very likely they'll either say that a state cannot deny a couple from marrying, just as they did in Loving v. Virginia (1967). They also might say that a state has every right to sanction it or not sanction it.

Have you seen what Scalia and Alito have said today? Here's a couple tidbits:

Scalia demanded Olsen pick a date for when banning same sex marriage was unconstitutional. Olson said it was irrelevant.

ALITO: asked about "need to be cautious" .."Same sex marriage is very new...newer than cell phones or the internet."

Especially that second one -- what do you say to a man who compares those things? What intellectual argument can you possibly construct to counter one that compares gay marriage to CELL PHONES?

Alito, RESIGN! NOW!

Incorrect. Had it not been for Romney, Romney would very likely have won.

The homosexual voice can hit octaves only dogs can hear.
It is what it is. Soon will be forgotten, and we won't have to endure homosexuals riding the coattails of civil rights leaders: ie. "Gay, Straight, Black, White, Marriage is an Equal Right"!
Sorry, not everything is 'sharey-fairy'.
Nashing of teeth? People will be leaving their dentures in Nashville?
The rest of your post is just as wrong.

Almost 100% of Americans Support Gay Marriage if I Believed the Media

Do you really think that many people really support gay marriage? Or do they really just not care how gays handle their relationships.

I don't support any kind of marriage - it being a religious entertainment phenomena. But really, I just don't care whether or not someone is or is not married.

You want inter-personal responsibilities... get a sworn civil union. Obama's got your medical covered, married or not.

Funny, that's exactly what I think. I don't care what you think or what your church preaches or what you want to stand on the street corner or internet forum and screech. You can sit there typing your modern day equivalent of "Race Mixing is Communism" all you want. What I do care about is people enacting laws that affect me personally. Two guys getting a civil marriage doesn't affect you in any way, yet the religious authoritarians routinely try to stop it from happening.
I agree! Great post - it is ultimately about authoritarians.

Why do you care so much what other people do? Whom other people marry? How does it affect you personally? Does it cause you to want to imitate?

There is no way you believe that is going to happen.

Is there anyone against equal marriage whose reasoning does not stem from religious ideology?
