Today with a president who is from a Black liberation theology church, he is accepting all secular and socialist views and the media is following and supporting him in his quest to slowly transform this country into a MORE secular country . Family values and morals are being thrown away as this president leads us into social justice which is another word for government power to distribute wealth. This is immoral at the root and has been first accepted by religious churches but now is regarded as unacceptable. One cannot distribute that which is someone elsed through law. This is communist thinking and communism does not work. Why? It takes out the incentive to work and brings poverty accross the board. Why should one work harder only to have someone take away what they worked for. If one worked 20 more hours a week and didn't get paid for those extra hours how many would continue to work overtime? Not many. And the one that didn't work at all got the same paycheck. Then who would want to work?

The laws are generally passed by the popularity connected to the public. If enough positive public opinion is formed then the bill is more likely to pass. Who is in power is also a big factor...that is why Obamacare passed with arm twisting and not by popular opinion. No one knew what was in the bill anyway so how could it be a popular bill?

Catholic church errors along the way. They put man traditions equal to the word of God. They also added books to their bible that Jesus himself never referred to. They change their doctrine over the years This does not mean there are no Christians that are Catholic. The angels will separate the wheat from the tares.

This in no way takes anything away from the message of Jesus Christ.

If posters want to say that homosexuality is wrong and/or Jesus wouldn't approve of that lifestyle, that's their choice. But if you put any conditions on practicing gay people to follow Jesus, then you are limiting Jesus' reach, and that goes against everything the Bible says Jesus is about.

Jesus would have welcomed the religious leaders of His day following Him too. They chose not to.

Wrong.

Practicing homosexuality is the sin in Christianity. Practicing gay people are the same as active murderer in the eyes of Christianity.

Jesus would say to love the "sinner" not the "sin", which means love people but do not condone sinful actions and champion it.

Based simply on the odds, 1.2 of the apostles were gay.

Would you care to explain to me how having basic systems for ensuring the welfare of your fellow man undermines family and moral values? You sound so hopelessly deluded by the Red Scare and your twisted views of reality.

I hate people like you.

How did they do that? there are hundreds of thousands of pieces that are no bigger than a fingernail.
There are books that are not in the modern bible.

Do you honestly think they just unrolled the scrolls and read word for word the whole modern bible?

Example.
Prophecies by Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Daniel not found in the Bible are written in the Scrolls.
In the Scrolls are found never before seen psalms attributed to King David and Joshua.
The scrolls contain previously unknown stories about biblical figures such as Enoch, Abraham, and Noah. The story of Abraham includes an explanation why God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac
Although the Qumran community existed during the time of the ministry of Jesus, none of the Scrolls refer to Him, nor do they mention any of His follower's described in the New Testament.

And there is not one copy of any new testament book at all.

You might want to actually read what's on the link.

And exactly where do I say it does. The books that were not included in the biblical canon give me a whole new understanding of Jesus, moreso than what the "accepted" books do.

No tolerance from you.. the hate word.. the left loves to hate and loves to say Christians hate you.

Today it is passed helping the poor. The people who can and should work do not. I am all for those to get a helping hand who need it but the government gives them everything today. Free housing , free food, free cheese, free cell phones, free education.. they don't have to pay for anything.. they have a cushy life without working..

I used to work for the welfare department in the 70's and it was not like it is today. They were poor. It is a run away train because this president wants to spread the wealth around and also give freebees away while we are in a financial crisis . Obama lives high on the peoples money while the taxpayers credit card in 16 thrillion in debt. The banks are defunct ( not a big secret if one can think)as this administration prints billions of dollars to buy up all the toxic assets of the banks..these homes that lost more than half their value.

It has become the working poor are the truly poor not the ones getting a government handout because they are given everything.

The work ethic is gone and no shame to ask for a hand out today. No one wanted to be on government assistance in those days.. Now we have people screaming about the rich and what they should be given without working for it. It is a disgrace.
