I don't really recall anyone joking about Ms death.
As to DeeDee, I'll agree, "Precious" isn't a very nice comparison. But come on, you do have to admit that she is sort of a special case.
Okay, you indirectly answered the question. Those rules don't apply to Zimmerman supporters. It's okay for them to be rude and call Trayvon Martin and Rachel names. As long as no one says anything bad about Zimmerman name calling is fine.
The defense does Not have to PROVE self defense. The only defense burden is to offer facts from which his resort to force could have been reasonable. The evidence doesn't even have to reach the standard of probability.
If Nelson doesn't give the jury a chance to rule it was justifiable self defense, shame on her.
[quote] Often a Defendant will assert affirmative defenses without any supporting factual allegations. Such affirmative defenses are improper since an affirmative defense is a pleading and must be supported by factual allegations like the allegations in a Complaint. The proper response to such unsupported affirmative defenses is a Motion for More Definite Statement per Fla. R. Civ. P. 1.140(e). If, following a hearing and Order of the Court, factual support is not provided, the challenged affirmative defense may be stricken.[end quote]
While this point in re striking isn't relevant, the section which notes an affirmative defense is a pleading that must meet specific requirements is applicable. It will be interesting to see how the jurors interpret
the evidence. Judge Nelson is another matter; maybe she's watched Judge Judy enough to know that you don't follow someone that you claim to fear.
"precious" ...is that from the movie "precious"? Did they call that witness that? What was he name?
Yes they did ad yes they were referring to the character in the movie. Her name is Rachel Jeantel. One of Zimmerman's good friends, Frank Taffey called her Precious repeatedly. Several people did it hear as well.
But I definately recall posters joking about GZ being a dead man if he was found not guilty.
Last night in a live interview on CNN, Mark O'Mara himself admitted that Zimmerman "will never be safe."
