Oh, I know all of the bogus birther arguments. They're all a bunch of hooey, as the many, many failed lawsuits attest. But don't let me stop you from fighting a Cruz nomination. I will enjoy every minute of it. Carry on!

Yeah and I was shaking in my boots over Sarah Palin and Paul Ryan too...

This nutbag is praising a deceased White Supremacist member of the GOP and actually stating that there needs to be 100 more of him. Why would anybody in there right mind think that Cruz is a viable candidate for anything?

I'm guessing that you don't even have a clue as to the history of the guy that crazy man Cruz is talking about.

Quote:
Mr Helms was a racist, who thought the Civil Rights Act of 1964 “the single most dangerous piece of legislation” ever to come before Congress; who blocked what he could of the Voting Rights Act; who made fast friends with apartheid South Africa, and turned his back on Nelson Mandela; who let his re-election campaign in 1990 send out cards telling blacks that they risked jail for voting “improperly”. When the rest of America had moved on, Mr Helms still carried in his head the mores of old Monroe, North Carolina, where he was born: the hot, quiet streets among the cotton fields, flowers on the steps of the Confederate monument, Negroes stepping into the gutter to let whites pass. No mingling occurred there. God's dictates were observed. Good conduct was rewarded, uppityness punished, with a horsewhipping if need be. In Monroe Mr Helms learnt to play the race card, that fear of touching and that sense of suppressed disorder. “Do you want Negroes working beside you?” asked the first political campaign he worked for, in 1950. “You needed that job…but they had to give it to a minority,” ran one of the last, in 1990, as a white hand crumpled a rejection slip.

Read more at the link...if you dare. You are the one that should be petrified of guys like Cruz if you think that the party that you support has a chance in hell if this is what they are offering. Great re-branding Teapublicans...keep up the goood work.

What does that have to do with anything? He was talking about Carnival Cruz's praising of Jesse Helms, avowed racist to the very end.

Bill Clinton's political mentor was an even more vile racist than Jesse Helms.

J. William Fulbright

So why aren't Democrats bashing Clinton? Because the Democrats are the party of slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, the KKK, opposition to civil rights, and support govt. sanctioned racism today (affirmative action).

Here's the BIG error that the right wingers always repeat when confronted with issues such as this...YOU LIVE IN THE PAST. The GOP has evolved or maybe morphed is a better word, into something unrecognizable as compared to more Liberal and Progressive factions of the government that have changed with the times.

The bottom line is that with the changing demographics and more Liberal and open-minded views on social issues, the right wing is going the way of the dinosaurs and guys like Cruz represent the crazies that have hijacked the party and are attempting to set the clock back even further.

Both Ted & Rand, have put Hilary in her place, more than once.
Hilary hasn't come close to putting anyone in their place, ever.

When you place truth in the chair of reason, Hilary cannot sit up.

Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear

Thomas Jefferson was one of the most brilliant men that will ever live, and you are great to qoute him..
