Which is actually a good argument for legalization. No, as I stated before it won't completely stop the murders but fewer will be participating.

How so, given that it's local? Want to stop or significantly reduce the crime associated with drugs? Then end prohibition. At least end the damn war on a plant that has been around and used for medicinal and industrial purposes since the beginning of time! Or, if you or the government were really serious about getting tough on the drug cartels, then why not put your money where your mouth is, and send our military into Mexico, and Central America and wipe out all of the cartels! I mean, we have the firepower, and the capability to do so, do we not? We seem to have no problem sending our military to the Middle East or elsewhere in the world to enforce our will, so why not do it here. Tell the Mexican government, and all of the governments of those Latin American countries that they better get a lid on the problem, or we'll do it for them! But of course the United States won't do that, because they profit from both sides of the drug war. It's absolute hypocrisy!

It certainly worked when they repealed prohibition of alcohol.

Indeed, now we're accessories to murder crux. Nothing worse than being accused of something you didn't do, eh?

I hear people say that, but do you really think the Mexicans and the Colombians will just thrown in the towel because we legalized pot? No, they would continue and sell it for less than the US government does. The killings would continue.

Ummm... Finn you are aware that cannabis is the largest cash crop in the United States. Yet it's illegal!!! Pot coming from Mexico or Columbia isn't the issue here, as everyone knows that it's due to the sophistication methods the best s*** is grown here and in Canada! Most of the issues coming from there are cocaine related!

Furthermore, did crimes attributed to prohibition of alcohol not go down once it was repealed? Sure you had moonshiners, but most of the bootleggers moved on to something else.

Funny, I was on a jury for someone selling marijuana and I caused a mistrial. Jury nullification would be a great thing for sure!
