You mean the same 'righteous man of faith' Abraham who had several wives and kept a bunch of concubines for sex? The same Abraham who was going to slit his son's throat as a sacrifice?
Yeah... that's a good example.
You really understand nothing, do you. You are a mocker of God, and you can't understand the Bible, so you mock it as well.
Lot (Abraham's nephew) was also a "righteous" man. He offered up his 2 young virgin daughters to be gang raped. Then later he had drunken sex with them and impregnated them.
Great examples of "righteous" "men of faith".
Not surprising that internet porn has it's biggest sales to 'men of faith' in the Bible Belt states.
Also not surprising that so many "Christians" used to use 'scripture' to justify slavery.
I don't know of a single Christian that has used scripture to justify slavery, or a single Christian that approves of slavery.
But, are you aware that slavery still exists in the world today? America did not invent slavery. We imported it. Then, we ended it here. Few would argue it wasn't the right thing to do (except for some Democrats).
Twisting the stories of the bible do not justify your argument, they only prove you are a liar, to those that know the difference.
Sad to see some one so willing to expose them self in documentation falsely representing conflicting documentation.
The whole world can read for them self and see the truth against your complaints. Why do it ?
Why prove your self to be one willing to twist the truth, to justify wickedness?
Like Adam , blaming God for giving him Eve .
Men's failures in scriptures received God's judgment not support.
Men are not rewarded for corrupt behavior, never have been .
And a people insistent on corrupt behavior will endure penalty either now ,giving an opportunity to repent, or come judgment day.
Considering that I don't believe in your version of god, he won't be asking me anything. I don't have invisible friends that I talk to.
How convenient. You don't believe in "[our] version of God." So, you make up a God which approves of your depravity and believe that gets you off the hook.
And He will say, "Depart from me. I never knew you."
Oh did god say that? Where in that fanciful book of yours does he ever say that? And do so without using Leviticus because that passage was never about homosexuals to begin with.
Since you refere to the Bible as a "fanciful book," it would serve no purpose to do you any favors.
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet; and then turn and tear you to pieces." — Jesus, "The Sermon on The Mount" Matthew 7:6 NIV

So you are unaware of the history of slavery in the US and how it was supported by many Christians? Try educating yourself by reading the works of Frederick Douglass... for example.
Christian Ministers preached FOR slavery from the pulpit in American Churches in the 1800's.
Slavery was condoned in the Bible- or are you unaware of that too?

What Jesus would say to people like you is well expressed in Matthew 23.

slavery was condoned by everyone, everywhere, at certain times during history. what does it have to do with the salvation army?

"You can safely assume you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.”
