When people say that humans are born heterosexual or homosexual etc they are not saying that babies 'desire sex' or are sexual. They mean that sexual orientation is 'pre-wired' in the fetal brain while still in the womb. Sexual orientation doesn't usually become apparent for most people until after puberty when the release of hormones are triggered by that original 'wiring' and the body starts to mature.
The fetal brain develops during the intrauterine period in the male direction through a direct action of testosterone on the developing nerve cells, or in the female direction through the absence of this hormone surge. In this way, our gender identity (the conviction of belonging to the male or female gender) and sexual orientation are programmed or organized into our brain structures when we are still in the womb.
There is no indication that social environment after birth has an effect on gender identity or sexual orientation.
There are those who have a weak identity. There comes a time when the person has to define who they are. Some are very opened to all kind of beliefs. Words can have a profound effect on an individual. It is the mind that decides their fate.
Do they believe the lie and think they are gay ? The mind is opened and one decides who they are. Do they entertain the thoughts of the physical attraction to the same sex or do they cast that out as a lie. We are complicated beings.. our self image is also a deciding factor. What words have been said to them regarding their image. Who do they identify with?
It could be a situation or event that defines the person if it works on their emotions. Are they ensnared into their beliefs from emotions they cannot control? The emotional needs of a person also play a role in self defining who they are. Do they entertain that and commit to it . Sex has been defined as a drug to those with little self control. They live for the next hit as a drug addict. To many that is the defining factor to their identity.
