I thought desecrating the flag was against the law but never mind when Obama does it, huh?

We, as a nation, will never recover from the division he has created. The great failed expieriment, electing a man based on race and not ability, honor and integrity to represent what was, the greatest nation in the world. Liberals should never again be allowed to lead.

Seems to be a trend now with our secular society. People try to find God in humans which is very dangerous. People need a God, I would suggest the one in heaven who cannot dictate to us or throw us in jail if we don't follow the party line.
Maybe the real issue is that people try to find "God" at all... Heck, that's why I stopped searching years ago.

Oh well, at least it can make for some hilarious entertainment - as it did with Obama once upon a time.

Yep! When i saw the first mass rallies for Obama it vividly brought to mind the Nuremburg rallies of Adolf Hitler. An American observer of those German spectacles had this to say:

<In September 1934, American journalist William L. Shirer had just arrived in Germany to work as a reporter for the Hearst Company. He proceeded to keep a diary of the entire seven years he spent reporting from inside Hitler's Reich. Shirer thought it would be a good idea to attend the 1934 Nuremberg Rally to better understand the Nazi phenomenon. On his very first evening in the old city, he found himself accidentally stuck among a throng of ten thousand people in front of Hitler's hotel, shouting: "We want our Führer!"

"I was a little shocked at the faces," Shirer wrote in his diary, "when Hitler finally appeared on the balcony for a moment. They reminded me of the crazed expressions I once saw in the back country of Louisiana on the faces of some Holy Rollers...they looked up at him as if he were a Messiah, their faces transformed into something positively inhuman.">

So, it is a very human experience. That is why the more rational, logical and thoughtful portions of our brain must be in control. We need more Spocks and less Sheep.

Go to youtube and watch the people on the night Obama was first elected. You will probably see the same expressions.

Good thing about our country though, we have a strong 2 party system but will we keep it that way?

Peggy Noonan wrote a column a couple of days ago that does a lot to explain the problems Obama has in "running the country". He (and his people) actually believe that running the White House is "running the country". They talk all the time, but they don't get much done. It's why they spent 3 and a half years getting ready for the ACA rollout and then were SHOCKED that it was a disaster.

Incompetence - WSJ, 12/17/13

"It all looks so lax, so loosey-goosey. In the place of the energy and focus that would go into the running of things, the administering and managing of them, we have the preoccupation with spin, with how things look as opposed to how they are. The odd thing still is that the White House never misses a speech, a list of talking points, an opportunity to shape the argument on TV. They do the talking part, but the doing? "
~~~~~~~~~~
"“They mistook the White House for the government,” said an experienced old friend, a journalist and Democratic sympathizer. We were having holiday dinner and the talk turned to White House management. His thesis was that Obama and his staffers thought they could run the government from there, from the White House campus, and make big decisions that would be executed. They thought the White House was the government, but the government is a vast web of executive agencies that have to be run under close scrutiny, and within their campuses, to produce even minimally competent work."
We have a President that has been named "Liar of the Year" - even Barbara Walters had to notice their is a problem. She's not ready to delve into what the problem is, but she does at least recognize that it exists.
Yes because what Baba Wawa thinks is influential in politics? Go watch a daily episode of the View or the fact that she had sex with Castro.
