We would have to pay for it which means an extra expense. No thanks. With single payer yes I know that but that also means we won't need medicaid anymore and I am willing to pay more out of my livable wage to make sure all my fellow citizens is taken care of.
Mad?
You keep saying you are willing to pay more to take care of your fellow citizens but you are not even willing to pay the copayment to get insurance through your wife's employer (an extra expense). Much easier to keep your money and go on medicaid.
I don't qualify. Also, I'm not a huge fan of others paying my way. I could afford insurance prior to the implementation of the ACA and now I can't. That is ridiculous.
You are paying the way of lots of other people.. 67 million are covered by Medicare, Tricare, and VA and that comes out of your taxes. Is it bad that 15 million or so will get subsidized health care while still at the same time footing the bill for 67 million others? The hypocrisy is that many of those 67 million make up the Republican base and want the ACA to go away because its socialism. These folks are like the survivors of a sinking ship in a life raft beating eveyone outside of the life raft with their oars even though there is more room in the life raft.

Delusional?
Weird he's moaning about doctors taking steps to keep their money, while he goes out of his way to not only keep his money, but stick us for his bills...

hypocracy knows no end with some of these people.
Not much different than the Republicans who post here who are on Medicare, Tricare, VA, and even Medicaid complaining about the ACA and socialism. The difference is he supports Medicaid and the ACA and you guys are complaining against it even though the gubbermint programs you are on cost the taxpayers 700 billion a year. Add another 200 billion for Medicaid . Time to get out the tri-corner hats and complain about the ACA at 100 billion.

Your sctick is getting old. Not everyone is on Tricare, VA or Medicare.
btw, you are a little light on your Medicaid estimate...

It kind of sucks to pay for other people's care when you can't even afford to purchase care for yourself. It's insulting when you could actually afford care prior to the government getting involved.
thats not true. One can apply for "hardship" if they become injured and qualify for temporary medicaid assistance to pay their bills in they become injured, regardless of how much money they made before.
Yes, they can apply for hardship IF THEY BECOME INJURED. Not just because they choose to not carry health insurance.
Again, it is simply untrue that one can get Medicaid by opting out of employer funded health insurance.

People that have access to employer funded healthcare are still choosing Medicaid because they do not want to pay the copays. There is one right on this thread...you skipped over his posts very conveniently.

I have absolutely no interest in learning a new skill...I hate school and did what I needed to do to get by and get a skill I can use.
Ladies & Gentlemen! I proudly present the single sentence that illustrates quite clearly why socialism always fails.
