The reason of the thread is: "Why wouldn't you report a fire arm of yours being stolen?" I don't care whose it is a fault as gun owner.
..and again one reason you may not report it stolen is because you aren't aware it was stolen.

Yes we do understand that.

I swear that you guys can't ever have a debate without outright making stuff up and being overly dramatic...

It should be up to the owner of the firearm, and if he hopes to ever get his firearm back which I seriously doubt he ever would.

Why should it be up to the owner? I am not making anything up or being overly dramatic . I knew a guy that did collections for monthly payments on furniture. He got robbed and taped up and left in a basement. Two years later he got his 9mm back.

I was talking about the "most police" and "one step away for murder" comment...

It should be up to the owner because it's their gun and they do not have to report it stolen by law. I'm wary about second hand unconfirmable (is that a word?) stories. You're friend could have made it up, or you could be to support your argument. Not saying that you are, but many do. Either way, yes it's a possibly that a gun owner may get their firearm back, but that'll be up to the owner to take that step if they so choose. I still think it's rare in most cases that the owner would ever get their firearm back once stolen.

So we remove the "most police". I did read that SOME cops say a Burglar is one step away from murder.

Yes some do make up things to better there thread. I have not done that. Look at my join date and my thread etc and i don't do that and have never been accused of it.
