Its probably more like 15%. California has the numbers from their own exchange. Its not any different than people dropping car insuance, car payments, etc. Stuff happens and people cant afford it. Insurance companies have been dealing with this for years.

Rather than raising taxes to cover short falls, you should cut spending to cover the short falls. How much did your nation building in Libya cost us? How much did it cost to interfere in Syria? What is it costing us to rattle the saber over the Ukraine?

Based on this thread topic and content, people still need to make prudent decisions with regard to their basic needs and in many cases, with their limited dollars. There can only be so many free lunches.

If health care costs were equal to that of the cable bill, more would purchase it. Since it's out of reach already, people take their chances and enjoy their paycheck to paycheck lives with the little entertainment afforded them (cable t.v.).
