There's no "might" about it.
There's platform specific and cross platform browsers out there that are fully supported.

I haven't used Firefox in years myself.
I use Safari and Konqueror.

It wasn't a boycott by any means. It was militancy tactics. Good ole USSR stuff.

No, he was forced out by extremists.

And this man was not a public figure. He was a private citizen who legally donated to a cause he believed in.

As for offending current and potential customers, I think the employees at Mozilla are seeing the results of their so-called demand for tolerance. They are being seen for the intolerant hypocrisy they are embracing.

Talk about bad publicity - it's blown up in their faces. And the irony is that they will lose their jobs, when the company goes under.

How does one "boycott" a free product ?
No it was not the boycott that got him fired.

...seriously?

Could one boycott facebook? It's free, right? They must not care about their user base or numbers, right? Cause it's free?

Like most Americans (see polls), Obama's views on gay marriage have changed over the years and he has never done anything to block gay marriage. Eich donated money to block gay marriage and has not changed his views. The Mozilla board decided this controversy made him a poor choice to lead Mozilla. Even before this gay marriage issue many thought he was a poor choice for CEO.

I dunno. How does that affect whether or not Mr. Eich was a bigot? Is he Obama's conjoined twin or something?

I don't think it's quite the same thing. Boycott Facebook and they have one fewer person's private life to sell to advertisers. Mozilla does not (yet) exist solely as a way to funnel data to a central repository.
