There's a heck of a lot more poor white people than there are black people in this country. I don't see those same issues of violence in those areas.
You see, you can blame it on a lot of things, but the bottom line is, black people (mostly young black men/women in these hoods. Not the ones trying to do right) start listening to more Bill Cosby and less Tupac, then these issues won't go away. A cultural change is needed in the black hood but people like Rev Al and JJ will continue to tell them that they are victims because that's easier and gets more agreement, less controversy.
You must have never heard about Meth? Poor white people love that drug and with it comes plenty of violence in its own way.
You can try and pretend it is just skin color, but there are plenty of young black men out there that aren't committing crimes.
Being a young black man does not equal high crime, that is nothing more than a racial assumption on your part.
Update; just another weekend in Chicago with 50 getting killed this time. They're getting better at it. At this rate just stand back, erect a no-go zone and the problem should take care of itself.

Actually they are getting worse at it, the numbers are down at this point in the year compared to the last few years.
If you think skin color is the truth, then you have no idea what causes violence in neighborhoods. Being black does not equal high crime.

*When Blacks commit crimes of violence, they are nearly three times more likely than non-Blacks to use a gun, and more than twice as likely to use a knife.
*Hispanics commit violent crimes at roughly three times the white rate, and Asians commit violent crimes at about one quarter the White rate.
*The single best indicator of violent crime levels in an area is the percentage of the population that is Black and Hispanic.

White people commit plenty of crimes. But, when it comes to gun violence, a vast majority is black on black.

In the poor black culture, there's no shame in having multiple children from multiple men, never getting married, not having a father figure around, dropping out of school, living on welfare, etc. etc.
