You enjoy this and are dancing in the streets. You accomplished your goal of silencing somebody who dared to disagree with you and your agenda.

Refuse serve to someone based on the color of their skin or their sex and you will find out the hard way who makes the rules and who doesn't.

I don't make the rule because I know I have to coexist with other folks no matter how much I dislike them.

The world doesn't owe me anything, and i am not better than anybody else.
I am better than everyone one else when it comes to protecting my investment.

My game...my rules.

BTW....I am NOT anti-gay.

You do not own the store yet you dictate how they conduct business and have the gall to stipulate who can and can not open a store for business unless they please you and your kind approves.

Assume a lot, don't ya?
No one was silenced they still have the right to shoot off their mouth just like you do, I see you have no trouble saying whatever pops into your head, so stop the whining.

I likely would not do that.

But, I will never give up my rights.

Obviously not in this instance, because the business owner was silly enough to turn down her money and send her away.

If they are operating at a loss then yes they charge more - not retroactively of course, don't be ridiculous. (If they have a loss continually then they need to get the eff out of the business before they screw everyone including their landlord). They raise their prices to sufficiently cover their overhead. A business always covers their overhead in their pricing - or should at least be attempting to. They need sufficient margin to operate. Margin which come in the form of markup to the consumer.

Or, perhaps they're at a loss because they're at full market price but they can't attract enough custom, because they suck at marketing (hint - this isn't good for business).

So, if they're turning customers away based on personal beliefs and not sound business practice, perhaps they should sell wedding dresses as a hobby, to people that please them - then they won't chance getting so offended by their customers that they refuse to do their job, and they won't have to worry about all that pesky profit/loss thing.

well if you want to talk about being a better investor, maybe you should start a new thread.

Thread title

"Here we go again. PA bridal shop refuses to serve lesbians"

and you are talking about being better than everybody else when it comes to protecting your investment? Really?

I like the First Amendment it shall remain as is especially the part about religion and the right to practice. The religion part is what bothers you though. Tough, deal with it.

AMENDMENT I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

No, this is the invisible hand of the market smacking business owners hard.
They made the decision to not serve a potential customer. The customer informed the public and the public is reacting by not frequenting the business. This is the free market solution to a poor business decision.

Are you saying that there should be no consequences for poor decision making?

You people have set an example for complaining that the general public will emulate .Watch the complaints fly when somebody's drink didn't arrive as fast or in the same condition as the regulars. Or perhaps the bouncer needlessly hassled the straight individual when she didn't a regular. There are many many ways this is going to fall back on you. Just keep pushing.
And they will know that I am not gay because.........................

Nothing is going to fall back on me (or you) - I am not threatened by people who are different from me.

You see demons where there are none. Just people trying to live their lives and marry and love who they love (which is LEGAL in PA)

And buy a dress - which is also legal.
