All for doing what we can with air strikes but that is not a solution, anyone for committing ground forces really needs to get a grip.
If the Iraq Army that we trained for years numbering a few hundred thousand is ineffective in their own country why do we expect other countries to jump into the fray
We don't belong there, time to cut our losses.
I feel sorry for the innocent people that are being killed as a result of these vicious terrorists and we should help where we can but this is the Iraq governments problem, not ours. We set up Maliki for success and he destroyed our good will, it's their problem.
Yes. We make a Shia muslim the president of the country where Sunnis are a majority. Thats a real recipe for success. Are we being effing serious here?

Actually the Shia are the majority in Iraq. The power under Saddam was with the minority Sunni.
Question is now...
Does our fearless leader*cough* send in the freshmen, our own JV, the varsity, or Professionals???
Our administration is the epitome of "JV". He'll do well to shut up and listen to the military and foreign service professionals (not the useless appointees).
"Why does it seem like we are half-assing the efforts to destroy ISIS?"
I dunno, perhaps it's because we are getting mixed signals. We have a leader who is telling ISIS to pin notes to captives shirts instead of beheading them. Does he really think ISIS is going to follow his advice. It's just feels weird.
"Islamist police in Saudi Arabia have stormed a Christian prayer meeting and arrested its entire congregation, including women and children, and confiscated their bibles, it has been reported. The raid was the latest incident of a swingeing crackdown on religious minorities in Saudi Arabia by the country's hard-line Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. They have not been seen or heard from since, raising concerns among human rights groups as to their whereabouts."
Well, they are clearly not chopping off heads, but they are no different than ISIS. Their methods are different but the fundamentals are the same, no freedom of religion is tolerated, everyone must follow their strict Islamic law or be punished.
