But in honesty it is not the well to do blacks who act this way. The lower class ones just like the lower class everywhere. Do you see folks in upscale Metro Atlanta complaining?
They put up a memorial for the guy that they knew who until that day was not a violent man. Even the cops couldn't figure out a motive since he didn't attempt to rob the store and did not have a history of violence.

Why do racists group all blacks together? Why does the outrage that is targeted towards perceived injustice, get wrongly characterized as "outrage over thugs and criminals" by those who are racist?

Just another stupid thread from the Right.

It was a poorly considered thread from someone who generally posts rather effectively instead of being a Lord Haw-Haw for the Obama Administration.

Because it doesn't require critical thinking. It is alot easier for a bigot to throw all Blacks under the bus because it doesn't require thinking.

Who's grouping all blacks together?

Sure, there are a few racist types who do this....but by and large, this is a false narrative used by people who want to make excuses for criminals who, through their own choices put themselves into positions where they are likley to have confrontations with the police.

There is a reason you don't see many young choir boys, band geeks athletes, nerds etc of any color, being shot by the police...........because they don't choose a lifestyle that puts them at risk.

Why are people so surprised when those who lead a criminal lifestyle get treated like criminals?

If you play with fire, you should realize that the fire doesn't care what color your skin is when it burns you.

who are our Black leaders?

The problem is the media hand picks who are leaders our and America believes it.

Most Blacks have leaders in their community and they aren't national figureheads like Sharpton or Jesse.

Do you know how hard it is to get the media to talk about missing Black children? Tyler Perry mas/had a show that highlighted our missing kids because the only kids America looks for are pretty girls with Blonde hair and Blue eyes.

but the fire (cops) care what color you are before they burn you.

we are only 13% of the population..

more white guys are committing violent crimes when you look at raw numbers... but who gets killed more often by the fire?

Why are white kids who are unarmed AND armed.. not getting killed by cops?

So - if you have ever done something bad in your life. . and are killed for no real reason (other than being black) you don't deserve outrage?

How about instead of cherry picking 4 - here is 20

and a few of them don't have a criminal past

the outrage isn't the specifics of any one case, it is the commonality of the deaths. The everyday occurrence that should have everyone angry at this police system.

Exactly! I'm not saying police brutality doesn't exist, or that profiling doesn't exist. I believe the "war on drugs" is a much bigger infringement on civil rights than the average beat cop. I also believe our prison system needs a major overhaul. So with all of this, why can't the Black community rally around someone who's not a violent criminal? If Rosa Parks was turning tricks in the back of the bus or Jackie Robinson was sleeping with 10 y/o boys, they wouldn't have been compelling icons either! Michael Brown was a piece of trash who attacked a police officer three times & got what he deserved. Trayvon Martin was obviously headed down the path to prison or the grave, but he was likely minding his own business imo. When he doubled back though, long after getting away from George Zimmerman to physically attack him, my sympathy dried up & Trayvon learned a fatal lesson. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
