They go to work everyday. You are not their boss. If you think so highly of yourself, then pick on people your own size. Like the law makers and politicians.

Actually I AM their boss. And so are you. The fact that you think they need to answer to some politician before they answer to citizens shows us what type of world we're living in.

Yes and trust me I do pick on politicians too.

I haven't said anything about cops that I have not first hand experienced. Every criticism I've made about them has been valid in some way.
well, didn't I just say - to each her own? so even if you have an emotional attachment to a crackhead, who am I to judge you? we are who we are through experiences.

I haven't said anything about police officers that I have not first hand experienced either.

No, you should consider yourself the boss of lawmakers.

I'm both of their bosses. And so are you. So both cops and law makers should be accountable to me.

Blind loyalty to anything is a terrible precedence. Again, I feel America is becoming a police state, and it's due mostly from misguided senses and loyalties from people like you. The thing is, if confidence in police existed in vaccum, and I wasn't conned into participating in this scam, I wouldn't have anything to say. But you liking the police basically means I have to deal with them too. But isn't socialism awesome?

well, if you want to put it that way, I am quite happy with police officers. This said, I don't judge anybody who are NOT satisfied with police officers' performance. Like I said, to each her own.

The bottom line is, you seem to believe all cops are bad. I can't say I agree with you.

There is no blind loyalty. This is where you are wrong. I also believe drug war is useless, pointless, and ridiculous. I also believe MILITARIZED POLICE DEPARTMENTS DON’T WORK.

However, you seem to believe all cops are bad.

This is something I don't agree. That's all.

No, their boss is the Chief of Police in their city. His boss is the mayor of their city.

Unless they are in a charter city like San Jose, where the "mayor" is just a member of the City Council with no extra power. In that case the Chief of Police's boss is the City Manager.

We are a democratic republic; we use a democratic process to elect representatives to do things like command the military and police.

Or it could be that they are government servants just like the military. When I was in the Navy, you were not my boss. My chain of command (you have to memorize this in boot camp and update it as you go) was, LPO, LCPO, Tactical Sonar Officer, Weapons Officer, Executive Officer (like Spock), Commanding Officer (Captain, like Kirk), Squadron Commander, Fleet Commander, Secretary of the Navy, Secretary of Defense, President of the United States.
