Okay, let's change the subject. Why would he have fake weapons & explosives when he planned on killing so many people? What would be the purpose? Was he originally planning to commit suicide by cop and then selfishly decided to take out innocent people with him to get more publicity and credit? In the Muslim religion suicide is a sin, but if you die while committing an act of jihad in the name of God, it is not. This is similar to the way many Christians felt when committing murder throughout history. Some people justify cruel, horrific acts of violence that are not condoned by any peaceful religion.

Why exactly does it matter? FACT: He mowed down hundreds of people and ISIS claimed him as a soldier and his actions as theirs. It doesn't matter how fast he did it or if he had an elephant in the cab with him.
He was a radical Muslim who committed Jihad on innocentsPERIOD. Somebody else knew of his plans and/or his propensity for violence against others and yet NOT A WORD of warning.

The French have done a good job making sure that Muslims don't assimilate, quite different than the US.
The US is changing. I went to college in the late 1990s and early 2000s. I had several professors who said that assimilation was a sign of oppression of a dominant culture over immigrant minorities.
