The area police officers patrol on a regular basis is called a "beat", and the purpose of a beat is to provide a regular presence of law enforcement while allowing officers to become familiar with the characteristics of that particular area. When a situation requiring police intervention occurs in their assigned area, there is a familiarity with the terrain and the neighborhood culture, which makes their jobs more efficient and effective.
I will argue that opinion is not necessarily fact, for example, many can see war on drugs is a failed domestic policy, many say war on drugs is absolutely necessary. Where do you draw the line? Who really makes the rule?
Let's not make police officers and their family members the scapegoat, shall we?
shooting to wound doesn't make sense scientifically, or tactically. It is a simple fact.
One officer was hospitalized after being hit in the head with a brick thrown through the window of a squad car, police said, and three other officers were reported injured. Two police cars were totaled and four were damaged. Six businesses, including the hair salon and an auto parts store, were damaged.
About 10:45 p.m., police clashed with protesters near Sherman Park as protesters blocked a street and threw rocks at officers. At around 12:15 a.m., an officer was taken to the hospital from an injury after a rock went through his car window, and an 18-year-old was also taken to the hospital during the night after being shot hit, police said. A car in the neighborhood was set ablaze for at least 15 minutes before fire officials put it out after 1 a.m.
I really don't get it. They are so angry and frustrated, so they terrorize people in their own neighborhood.
Yeah, we all know what happened, especially those of us who live & work here. We also know that the riots are over, done. Why people keep rehashing it like it's still active is beyond me. Maybe people like to flame the fire, hmm?
Yes you do. You simply don't want to acknowledge it.
You all on board with social media outing the name and pic of the officer involved? I saw this on FB today, and all the ghetto trash in Milwaukee is eeking and ooking about killing him-like the victim was such a saint.
People in Milwaukee are getting sick of THAT too.
The white Indianapolis woman killed by some poor misguided misjudged young men-nary a peep-yet she was actually doing some good
I'll never get when true criminals meet their fate-the ghetto trash worships them as if they walked on water
Speaks volumes about them when you see who they "idolize" pretty sad really,
BLM does a better job at creating white supremacists than any KKK member ever could. These idiots think acting like a bunch of brainless chimpanzees is going to make people respect them when all it does is stereotype black people as being violent criminals. BLM and people that agree with them are the cause and spread of racism towards black people. On a side note, the officer that shot the criminal was also black.

Like the outing of the officer involved on social media? Then everyone calling for him to be killed? THAT kind of fanning the flames, or is it only fanning the flames when whitey talks about it?

No actually, I wasn't talking about that. Has the cop been killed? No. And before you open your mouth, of course it's BS & I don't condone it.

i don't think so. Just want to address the issue and try to find a solution. that is all.

Not yet, but they are calling for it- he had to leave town. And as far as opening mouths, maybe close YOUR piehole once in a while too.but was a fair question given the double standards out there. I'm a liberal that felt out of place in SE WI, and even more so in OK. But the events of that past few months over there have caused me to question how far left I really am, or want to go. Not sure why you're so defensive, but whatever. Chalk it up to typical of that area

They don't care if the cop was black. The whole point is to find an excuse to steal things, burn things, and attack people they don't like.
Everyone needs to know the danger of globalization.
Foreigners are getting rich, Americans suffer. Unemployment rate is too high. Politicians want all of us to focus on the issue of "race" when there is something bigger going on.
In the aftermath of the recession, African Americans have been hit the hardest in terms of unemployment, which is still affecting them. Manufacture jobs are leaving the country and 15-20 years ago, one nice union job is enough to support a whole family. Now, middle class is shrinking.. People are working harder.. Think about it. It is not white people's fault, nor is it white cops' fault.
Poverty and crime have a very “intimate” relationship.
