looking at this tool a lot of people are going to get hurt. Tax credits are tough on lower income people. But the looking at the costs for people with pre existing conditions looks really bad.

type II looks like an extra 5K a year and that is millions of people just there. For my family we would have to redirect monies. The high risk pools are going to be incredibly costly.

Corker (R) is saying zero chance of an up down in senate, I don't see anyone wanting this to make it out of the senate.

ACA is now TRUMPCARE.. they just bought it.

The CBO offers an example of a single individual with an annual income of $26,500.

But if that person is 64 years old, he would be hurt by the Republican bill. Under Obamacare, he would also pay $1,700 in premiums for insurance. But under the Republican bill, he would pay $14,600 — more than half his annual income. That amounts to more than a 750 percent increase in premiums from Obamacare to the Republican bill.

The other example I read about an elderly person was a ~25k earner paying ~12.5k
This is how we know even the GOP don't think this bill is real. OLD people VOTE. so we know this whole thing is make the disillusioned trumpers happy. It was pushed through to create the pretense of a united GOP. It had to be made so bad that passing it in the Senate would be impossible.

Social Security would never have become a problem IF the Greed Monsters had not Outsourced Industry.

The Wealthy Knew that Industry Builds Nations, and the LACK of Industry causes nations to crash.

The plan was to keep people poor whites being SERF"s in a perpetual state of Indenture, and to block economic uplift to minorities.

If we can break our young away from the madness, to use the information available and the old white people stop pushing the Confederate Republican and their Confederacy Aims, American would not have the problems and challenges that it has had since the Confederacy took its battle ground into Congress and the people have been too blind to see it.

Antebellum Society has no concern for the work people well being, you to them represent nothing more than the fact that YOU ARE DISPOSABLE, AND YOU ARE REPLACEABLE ! nothing more, why would they care about your social security or your health care. They only care that you can make them more money, and when you can't, they have no need for you.

When you can no longer work, TO THEM, YOU ARE WORTHLESS, YOU ONLY OCCUPY SPACE AND COST THEM MONEY THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO SPEND ON A SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES YOU ANYTHING.

The Confederate HATE THE UNION'S ESTABLISHMENT OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THEIR AIM IS TO REBUILD THE CONFEDERACY AND THEY WANT IT TO FUNCTION LIKE THEIR ORIGINAL PLAN, AND TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE HELPING THEM TO DO SO.

There should be a 10% surcharge FOR the Social Security Fund imposed upon the wealthy and on industry. they prosper because of the American system and what was built by the generations that came before them. They owe it to the elders of society as there would be nothing if not for the older generations !!!!

If they want to reduce that to 5%, then bring back the industry so the people can work, (we have actuaries who can factor the numbers to get it exact). Then the fund become "Untouchable . except it can only be used to support Municipal projects as in being loaned as backing for Municipal Bonds. Then society grows and standards are improved and the fund gains the benefit for the people as they get older.

Let us all celebrate how healthcare will be more expensive, particularly for the poor and elderly! Yes, how wonderful that is! Nothing like showing not a scrap of compassion for those less fortunate, while wagging one's finger and pretending that they "deserve it." Gotta love that Just World Fallacy and how it sweeps away all inconvenient facts and truths!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-world_hypothesis

Then, on Sunday, let's all go to church and scream about "Jeeeeesus!" and pretend we're all good, God-fearing, family values Republicans. Because hating the poor and sick is TOTALLY the type of thing Christians and people who believe in family should do. Right.

The hypocritical hatred is laughable and overwhelming. I'm looking forward to when the first arse-hat Republican who voted for this monstrosity pulls out the religion-card to defend his vote against everything his faith (and basic human decency) would support.

From what I've read it makes Obamacare look perfect by comparison.

Yikes.

Give politicians enough time and they'll keep coming up with worse and worse ideas.

To the person who repped me for being an optimist, I am feeling good about voting these egg-sucking dogs out of office due to the town halls. Remember, ACA empowered the right, this new healthcare SHOULD empower the left. If it don't, I truly fear for the future of this country. That is because it is not my America any more. And this is coming from a white Christian male.

True, but the bigger questions are:

- How many people who are hosed are people who voted for Trump? Actions have consequences, and I have no sympathy for these types. They voted for Trump to directly harm other people - gays, blacks, Muslims, the poor - so it is just irony that they get caught in the blow-back from voting for a lying sociopath and his cronies who hate and are eager to harm EVERYONE.

- The deeper question: if this passes and goes into law, how many of the above Trump supporters who get wrecked by this stupid, spiteful bill will actually be emotionally mature enough to realize their mistake? How many of them will actually understand that Trump and what he represents is what harmed them, and their vote for Trump led to that harm? How many of them will have wit enough to not vote for Trump and his cronies again vs. just trying to find a stupid, fact-free way to blame Obama for all that has happened?
