This really baffles me. We have loads and loads of rich liberals including Warren Buffett, Tim Cook, Bill Gates, Emma Stone, Patricia Arquette, Meryl Streep etc. etc. etc.
Why don't they just pool their money together and create a fund to pay for all their liberal ideas such as health care, refugees, illegal immigrants, equal pay etc. etc. etc.?
Wouldn't that solve more problems than all the bickering?
And it's thread topics like this one that's not going to solve any problems either. It's a very divisive topic from the jump. All you are doing is putting them vs us , or us vs them, just another way for conservatives and liberals to attack each other. We already live in a pretty bitterly divisive country, where people can be pretty nasty to each other. I don't see where topics like this really add anything, except getting people going back and forth at each other.

The federal government decides what and where our money is spent. If you don't like this, you can protest this at Capitol Hill.
And the topic of this post is about liberal's willingness to pay to solve social problems. It's funny how Trump supporters react at even the thought of not getting their hands on our money. Apparently Trump wants to cut our taxes massively. Big cutbacks will need to happen. Blue states can keep more of their money at home and red states can learn to pay for themselves.
Amen. The duly elected party in control of all chambers will properly decide how the money is allocated.
Can't wait until Trump gives out those yummy tax cuts and red states have to pay for themselves. And take a look at the map of the costs for Trumpcare. Trump stuck his own supporters with the highest costs. Trumpcare was created by that duly elected party so Trump supporters should be happy with the increased costs.
Their private charities are nothing but legal tax evasion.

And who are the more honorable billionaires, the liberal billionaires who save millions of peoples lives, or the conservative billionaires who fight for corporate interests like stopping people with preexisting conditions from getting healthcare, fighting to keep min wage laws low, and limiting the power of the EPA to oversee large corporations?
It's easy to be compassionate when someone else pays the bill. Listen carefully to the tax debate. I explain one of the proposals below...
Trump wants to end State and Local tax deduction. It will help pay for the increase in standard deduction that will benefit the middle and lower class. Who benefits from State and Local deductions?... the rich who can afford expensive homes, Blue states like NY and CA, states where the state and local taxes are high. Being able to deduct SALT is like others through-out this country subsidizing someone else's high priced mansion.
These rich elitist will put up a major fight, taking away the SALT deductions, they'll have to pay more taxes. Since they claim paying taxes is patriotic, you'll see they won't be so patriot ... or compassionate after all.

It won't benefit the middle class or the poor. The states will just raise their taxes in some other way. Some of our state taxes go to clean up and maintain the Chesapeake Bay which I am all for.
