he should be glad - this will clear his name. If he is guilty....no one is above the law...not even
the POTUS.

Most of the NeverTrumpers were Republicans.

This isn't about Democrats and Republicans, people that would get along just fine together were it not for the current working-class slave revolt.

This is about a candidate, selected by working Americans to run against the DC establishment, being targeted for a coup by the same DC establishment.

You people have been barking for months about Trump-Russia collusion, and now that the collusion ship has sailed, it's obstruction of justice.

When that fails, it will be something else because you people simply cannot accept the results of the election.

When the big T is a victim, it is a sign of your hostility to invoke logic.

Good article here on some of Comey and Mueller's screwups:

James Comey Has A Long History Of Questionable Obstruction Cases

From Martha Stewart to Frank Quattrone to Steven Hatfill, former FBI director James Comey has left a long trail of highly questionable obstruction of justice cases that he used to make a name for himself.
This is a thinly veiled attempt to portray the ongoing investigation as illegitimate.

Trump described convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein as a, "Terrific guy,” and says “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

And we ALL know how he praised Putin. If these sorts of statements were smoking guns, Trump would be wearing orange right now.

As for Hatfill, that case was brought by AG John Ashcr@ft, interesting that you leave his name out of it, as he was the primary driver of the prosecution. In fact, Hatfill sued Ashcr@ft (who city data censors, for some reason!).

Saying that prosecutors "botch" cases is not unlike recalling Trump's history of bankruptcies as reason to distrust his business skills. Win some, lose some.

And while we are at it, and using your corrupt logic, we can assume that nothing Sessions says is credible, since he was BOTH appointed and praised by Trump.

Gotta love a double edge sword!

Actually only YOU have been painting it that way, despite many people pointing out that you were fixated on the word "collusion", to the detriment of any broader understanding. Possibly the most obvious straw man ever.

This is a very good point. Trump may have shown his hand a bit early.

Also, if you are not guilty of anything , then you have nothing to fear from a thorough investigation.
I am certain we can all agree that Trumps character is beyond reproach.

Trump supporters are ramping up the character assassination of Mueller (lifelong Republican), quite predictably. Yet they know nothing, except the fact that there IS an investigation. So, why not just let the whole affair run it's course?

Hard to imagine why they are so worried that they now want this well respected individual to "recuse" himself. Or why they do not trust their own man to conduct a fair and comprehensive investigation.

I'd hold off on the party hats if I were you.

Though Trump is carrying on about how he was vindicated, that actually hasn't happened.

The collusion investigation is not over. It's just getting underway.

Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein appointed former FBI Director Mueller to head up this investigation, and has stated that he will only fire Mueller for cause. Mueller is living up to his reputation of intelligence and integrity, and has assembled a team of litigators with envious experience.

Trump has a personal attorney with an ethics complaint filed against him in D.C. for allegedly advising Trump staff people that they didn't need to get attorneys.

Pence lawyered up anyway. One would expect anyone with sense to do the same.

In addition to the Mueller investigation, several Senate and House committees are looking into ethics and intelligence matters with varying degrees of success.

House Intelligence committee appears to be sidelined for the moment while they figure out who is in charge. However, there are rumors that the Judiciary committees might look into obstruction of justice. Who knows?

Senate Intelligence committee held public hearings where Sessions/AG, Coats/DNI, and Rogers/NSA refused to answer questions, calling into question Congress' ability to provide oversight. Matter yet to be resolved.

Also to be resolved is the matter of Congressional oversight specified in the Emolument clause of the Constitution. Democratic Congress members filed a legal action on Wednesday over this matter. They are represented by the Constitutional Accountability Center, a D.C.-based think tank and law firm “dedicated to fulfilling the progressive promise of our Constitution’s text." history.”https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...cts/102830002/

I understand there are other lawsuits on this as well as the lawsuits from five contractors at the D.C. hotel who are suing Trump for nonpayment.

But I suspect that these matters pale in comparison to reports that Mueller is following the money.

Why Trump is really angry: Mueller is following the money

Have to give Republicans credit for their masterful efforts at framing.

Exactly. At best the bureaucracy is trying to intimidate Trump to not investigate the crimes committed during the Obama administration. At worst they are staging a coup against a lawfully elected president.
