Umm, no, he doesn't. Any more than the football players do, to "protest" in the middle of their workday in the middle of their workplace (stadium) under supervision of their boss (coach, manager or team owner) while accepting the boss's money for performing for the fans. Or in a classroom under supervision of a teacher.
Did you support Kim Davis when she refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples? That was also a "workplace protest."
Well, this country sucks and doesn't offer much freedom or liberty anymore, so really no values left to respect.
Maybe once we get rid of the dictator in the White House, the Republican traitors in Congress, and the cave-dwelling cult that enables them, we can return to respect what American is supposed to stand for.
Until then, we're no better than 3rd world dictatorships.

The fact that you decry "Big-govt leftists" in the first sentence is almost absurdly ironic. You want government to enforce loyalty in the classroom. You don't want small government at all - you just want government that enforces your ideas.
Now, that may feel like small government to you - after all, as long as government is on your side and reinforces your way of thinking, you'll never feel them to be a hindrance.
This kneeling thing during the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem is on par for what's coming. As we all clearly see. the hard left is pushing it's values on everyone, i.e., gay marriage, transgenders, removing God from society, lawlessness, etc. Rebellion is everywhere nowadays and leading up to the introduction of a certain world leader known as the antichrist, one who opposes the values of Jesus. And as the Holy Bible tells, the days are soon coming that if you don't show allegiance to this world leader, you'll be put to death; the signs are everywhere and it's all recorded in the Book of Revelation. Don't take what's happening to society lightly.

It is not a freedom issue, it is a corporate workplace conduct issue. They are free to kneel, until their employers tells them not to as we will stop watching. Very simple. Can you understand that? Probably not.
