The Pretend Potus has been trumpeting this week about how he personally contacts the families of fallen military people, but that his predecessors did not. So this is the kind of thing he says, when he does call? Does he have no sense at all of self-awareness? He couldn't be any worse than he is, if he tried. But I wonder, does he deliberately project this obnoxious image? Do his followers require that he continually alienate himself from everyone else?

Insensitive?....maybe. True nonetheless.
Nearly every time the mainstream media quotes Trump, they use half his sentence.
Its incredible how consistently false they are willing to be.

What, exactly, is wrong with that statement? Did he know what he signed up for? That military service might end up in the loss of his life? Did he have the courage to volunteer and do his job in spite of that?

Brain-dead liberals are so busy trying to twist Trumps words and find something that wasn't there, they look mentally ill.

The ugly words of the orange goblin perhaps indicates what the oligarchy truly thinks about the underclass - they are merely cannon fodder for America's never-ending imperial wars to be used and discarded like a piece of garbage.

hopefully kelly will convince trump to send letters drafted by someone else in the future and avoid direct phone calls.

The next time you have a co-worker, neighbor, or casual acquaintance who loses a child or young spouse in an accident, say to them "so sorry, but hey! s/he knew the risks!"
Let us know how that works out for you.

Exactly.

Saying that to the soldier's grieving family as they bring their son/brother home for the last time shows a complete and total absence of any empathy and compassion. Tone deaf is an understatement. Just appalling.

Seriously? the full quote doesn't make it any better. I read the article for that exact reason, the media definitely takes things out of context. That said, this isn't. What an awful thing to say to someone who has justified lost her husband and pregnant! How can you defend trump?

Moments before her husband's body was taken off the plane.

I swear...people fuss because he doesn't say or do anything about the 3 green berets and 1 support guy who was killed, when he does they fuss about what was said. I don't know about anyone else but when I am distraught, I don't hear everything and usually 1 word sets me off more.
