Oh and...I know about time zones and how they work. It's how my husband and I know what times to talk to each other when he has been in Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan and Korea.
Okay, good, that's good.

I think you're ready for object permanence. You see, when we as a nation experience night, other people still exist. As such, and this is complicated, people here may receive from someone else in another time zone a document whose arrival was dependent upon neither steamboat nor pigeon.

You are a hoot!

Pay attention to stuff before you randomly post stuff that people can say that it is not:

I will still stick to my belief that Trump should have waited to call until everything has calmed down a bit.

I'm surprised that Trump didn't brag about using a heel spur to avoid the service and to avoid putting his life on the line for the country. Trump knew what he didn't want to sign up for.

Oh I understand, but this is actually quite common. Oftentimes media releases are timed to coincide with the next day or week's edition. So the story may have been intended to be released tomorrow, but was published electronically a few hours beforehand.

I’m not going to disrespect the memory of Sgt. La David Johnson by criticizing Trump’s response here.

Sgt. Johnson we Americans know you signed up to bravely serve your nation and protect our freedoms. Thank you for your service. God Bless.

U.S. President Donald Trump told U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson's widow Tuesday that "he knew what he signed up for ...but when it happens it hurts anyway," when he died serving in northwestern Africa, according to Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami Gardens.
"Yes, he said it," Wilson said. "It's so insensitive. He should have not have said that. He shouldn't have said it."
"He knew what he signed up for" is a compliment to the soldier, a way of saying he was a brave professional who chose to do a dangerous job, knowing the risks to his own safety. But anything to stoke black anger and resentment...

Yes it is. They know damn well what they are signing up for. For my husband it is following his calling in life and he is happy and content with serving also. Like teachers, preschool workers, nurses and doctors, they are a special breed.

Perhaps he should have stayed silent.
And this is why I hate Trump. This was just flat out disrespectful. These are the same troops protecting Trump. Trump also dodged the draft several times, so he really has no room to talk.

Is Trump the first President who didn't give a damn about the lives of our service members? I certainly have never seen such a disgusting display by any President in my lifetime.
