No, it's because socialists want to control us and we're sick of being controlled, but we don't have the manpower yet to wipe out socialist control in blue states (and thus liberate the whole country) and so were offering to go our separate ways peacefully before we chase the Leftists out of our territory by force like the Founders did to the British.

The 10 poorest states are in the south. So I'm all for splitting because they bring nothing to our economy. We have to pay for them. You can keep your salt, guns and large sodas while the blue states prosper.

How about stop controlling women and making it harder for them to get healthcare and abortions. Yeah, we are sick of being controlled too.... by republicans. That is not liberation for women. Blue states understand and fight for our rights. Red states don't.
Believe me, I don't consider the McConnels, Ryans, McCains, Flakes, etc to be our friends Heck, I'd even be for throwing the Bushes in the brig as I now believe them to be a family of traitors that are little better than the Clintons and now even admit that the idea that they went into Iraq (I don't say Afghanistan as the Taliban attacked us on 9/11 and we merely attacked back) to cause instability and made up the whole WMD thing is certainly plausible now.
You're only NOW realizing the Iraq War was entirely manufactured? That the WMD propaganda that convinced Americans to go to war -- a war that killed thousands of Americans and permanently maimed tens of thousands; that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians; a war that we'll be paying for for decades -- you're just figuring out now that it was totally bogus?

Natalie, I usually like your posts, but you miss the mark with this one. The South brings quite a lot to the US, actually, and, in fact, it's the most populous region in the country.
It's all relative. What you might define as as a "blue" state isn't very blue to me. Trump and the GOP have tons of ardent supporters in all those "blue" states (as did Sarah Palin). There are plenty of guns in all those "blue" states (just look at how many mass shootings occurred in them). People drink plenty of soda, and there is no shortage of overweight, unhealthy people in all those "blue" states.
So, from my perspective, most "blue" states are, in fact, purple.

You're absolutely right, I shouldn't have mentioned guns because I have nothing against anyone owning one. But I don't see where some of the south brings anything to the US. Mississippi is the poorest state. And they depend on federal dollars to survive.
