BTW, those who contend that we can end the individual mandate and keep the pre-existing conditions protections are fools or liars.
Without the mandate, people who wander around uninsured until they have a stroke, a heart attack, a cancer diagnosis, ... and then expect insurance companies to cover them at anything close to an affordable rate are believing in magic.
