Also, if there's no such law preventing families from being detained together for more than 20 days then there will be no legal obstruction to Trump's EO ordering families to be detained together until their cases are resolved.

There is the rub. Trump is beat up by the Left for enforcing an existing law. He goes to change that law and they are criticizing him for writing the EO when in their words a phone call would work. They think he is grand standing to the media with the EO.

The guy cannot win against the Liberal media but lets hope he keeps trying unlike Bush that stopped and was still ridiculed.

If this border situation has shown us anything it is that our border is a mess with thousands of illegal immigrants still trying to get through despite Trump. Imagine if Hillary had won? She would probably be bouncing a bill around today that would require us all to learn Spanish so our newly amnestied neighbors won't feel bad.

The historic profile of dictator followers are homogenous groups. I.e., the GOP.

Obama didn't separate kids from parents. Those photos are of kids who crossed on their own. Big difference.

It was a Trump/Sessions policy to separate children. He can change the policy.

No, it is not a law to separate children of parents seeking asylum. No, it is not a crime to cross the border and immediately find an authority and seek asylum. So no, they were not committing crimes.

Just for once, will some of you seek out news sources other than Fox News, Breitbart, InfoWars, etc. I'm not advocating for any news agency in particular. Just an alternative. And before you ask, no, I don't watch or listen to CNN.

It's got to be absolutely terrifying for the parents.
An article I read today said that there isn't any.

"“There is no system whatsoever to track these family separations, no efforts systematically to reunite these families,” Mr. Enriquez said. “There is no supervisor, there is no database saying, ‘child here, parent there,’ so they can come back together.”"

Nah, he was just the most unprincipled candidate to ever run. No lie too bold and he appealed to the inner demon in the least educated. He brought out the worst in society to vote.
