You and I both know that isn't true. The amount of time that it takes for an Indian to get a green card has been steadily increasing for years. Our laws haven't changed; you guys have simply been flooding our country with cheap labor and are now complaining about the rules of the game. You want us to change our laws to suit your desires. You need to realize that you are here because we ALLOW you to be here. You are not entitled to be here. You can go home or you can find another country willing to put up with your nonsense.
You can be deported. Remember that. We can deny you a visa extension. We can deny your green card. We can prosecute you and jail you for visa fraud. We can even denaturalize you if you do something heinous enough. You'll wait in line patiently and shut up about it. It's not our fault you suddenly changed your mind about the rules after you got around to figuring out how the game is played. Maybe you should have thought of that before leaving India.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either you play the game by our rules or you can pick up your toys and leave.
If it were up to me, 90% of you would be getting deportation orders today with 30 days to settle your affairs and leave the country. We'll manage just fine without you.
Exactly....laws haven't changed in accordance with the country's need.
You have your answer. Period.

It is the very height of arrogance for you to think that the United States needs most of you. We don't. Companies brought you here because you work cheap and you are not able to change jobs easily on your visa. No other reason.
You guys don't do good work. Period. We might pay a sweatshop $90-$100 per hour for your labor but you're only clearing $40-$45 an hour...and you're not even worth that. We could hire one American for every three of you and still meet the same pace of development, probably with fewer errors. But Americans know their rights and can change jobs whenever they want.
You need to understand why you're here, and it's not because you kick ass at what you do. You don't.

I'm sure that's why my company has a fully staffed support team whose entire job is to find and fix the dozens of failures (on a daily basis) built into our system by your compatriots, both here and in India.
Oh, and QA here couldn't catch a damn cold, let alone bugs in the system. They're a joke. They're also here on H4 EADs. Coincidence? I think not.
Code-reviewing the garbage these teams pump out is nearly a full-time job. I don't enjoy failing their code because all it does is make more work for me. It's not my fault they can't code their way out of a wet paper bag. They have no idea what they're doing. No clue. Not only are they incompetent, they're also stupid and lazy.
I have an open RFC in our production system so I can fix their problems immediately instead of having to enter individual RFCs for each piece that requires a code change. That's how bad your compatriots are. I have to make so many code changes that it'd require another full-time employee just to keep track of them.
These people are writing database code but they don't understand SARGability, they do not understand the difference between a correlated and non-correlated subquery, they do not understand how IDENTs work, they do not know what a heap is, they can't scope a transaction, and they think "WITH (NOLOCK)" is a magic "go faster" button. They are idiots and they don't have any business getting anywhere near an enterprise-level production database system...and yet there they are.
They're a joke. I'm beginning to think you are as well.
Four spouses of Indian H-1B visa holders have sued the US Government over undue delays in their H-4 extension and work authorization renewal. They’ve claimed that the USCIS intentionally delayed the renewal process, putting the petitioners at a risk of losing jobs, insurance and even their driver’s licences.
I was talking with an old tech colleague about this, Indian-American no less, who agreed that the H-4 visa program has been a total disaster. It bypassed a lot of the normal checks on immigration verification, through an Obama executive order not a law, and the result has been a massive increase in corruption not only by H-1B visa holders' wives but by the visa holders and families themselves. It's just another route to cheap labor and exploitation of both foreign and American workers by unscrupulous corporations and body shops.
You keep talking to the wrong people and form wrong opinions. As a citizen why whould he support people taking away his jobs??

Where are you getting that the Indian-American is supporting H-4s taking jobs? Rather, he says that the H-4 program is a "total disaster". Oh...and who are the "right people" to talk to?
All Andhra folks . Shouldnt they introspect and sit with fellow people to make sure they follow the laws?
And I read that article, looked nonsense to me. Usually they do their best to adjudicate on time along with primary petitions.
Mike Pompeo is visiting India on June 24-26. There might be a new Trade Deal including more Arms sale. In return, Trump Administration and Modi will get some concessions.
Mr Pompeo has lived for some time in the past in Chennai and Bangalore. He used to run a company specialising with aviation spare parts supply to HAL, India.
Will they discuss H1B and H4 EAD, it remains to be seen? or status quo will continue ?

yes much remains to be seen. But I think Trump is determined to reform this. Otherwise he wouldnt have removed Cissna from USCIS, who was already doing a good job. May be wants something more aggressive.

I meant there is no reason for him to support it , because its a threat to him and his family.
