Well, the post-incident press coverage hasn't shown her to be remorseful or intent on changing her ways.

Assault and robbery are pretty serious violations.

As a Democrat, I think I know why this is the case. It's because liberals are acting like complete morons and are getting a lot of press for bad behavior. Whatever happened to 'When they go low, we go high'?

Who cares if someone wore a stupid hat? Do you think that's worse than hitting a teacher???!!!

She has been charged with two counts of battery, which is distinct from assault, and it will likely be a misdemeanor in this case. She has not been charged with robbery. Geez, do you all even listen to the news reports posted?

I have little doubt she will have a long rap sheet throughout life.

I know what she was charged with. I have different definitions than the State.

Then you're a fool. She committed two counts of misdemeanor battery, which is a minor offense. She's teenager who made a mistake, a big one, but she'll learn.

With her father as supportive as he was on camera... Yeah... She'll learn alright...

Let's just say if I were to put hands on a teacher... The interview may have been conducted next to me in a coma in a hospital somewhere hooked up on life support following the beating I would have caught for that stunt...

Handling violence with more violence. Brilliant.

No argument on being a fool.

I'm not thrilled with her current disposition and do share your optimism in the fact she's young and can change.

At the same time 17 is surely old enough to know you can't use violence and steal private property. Hopefully she gets some help because victims don't deserve to be victimized.
