There seems to be a pattern emerging that many on the left are cognitively immature, and cannot cope with or control their emotions.

Quote:
"It’s fairly obvious that kids haven’t yet developed adequate emotional resources to cope effectively with whatever psychological pain they may be feeling. So, given their limited capacity not only to comprehend their emotions, but also to communicate them, they’re pretty much compelled to act them out. And that’s why, whether they begin to whimper, wail, shout or scream, the only way they know how to express their feelings is through visually putting them on display."

It's a dangerous combination of immaturity and sheer unbridled hate for anything conservative in nature.

I was thinking in addition to the expulsion and yet to be seen charges of battery this student should be made to write and present a paper exploring how MAGA, Make America Great Again, is racist. Perhaps you can elaborate on how Make America Great Again is provocative.

1. I thought kids had better celll phones than this.

2. This CA school allows students to wear clothing with political content (lol not for long, probably). It's a typical freakout by someone triggered by an opposing view, but I was more appalled by the confrontation with and attack on the teacher. The kid was suspended for a week. Big deal.

Teachers today deserve hazard pay.

Let them be free to say stupid **** and act like a fool.
It reminds us all what could have been.

Same here... we had one make the local news one night because the news folks thought it was racially motivated, but it started between a white and a black guy who were best friends, fighting over whether one stole the other one's weed.

I'm simply stating schools should not allow anything distracting and anything of anyone political is distracting. My local schools do not allow any political stuff. Their focus needs to be skill attainment. Distractions reduce focus.

Defenders of violence are the liberal and dems. they are jumped the shark to embrace gang law which allows physical violence if perceived to be dissed by the color of clothing, issuance of a banned word or a furtive glance.

Yep the democrat hate and fear mongers own the violence, supported by the media.

On the other hand the words 'trump 2016' are enough to cause them collective PTSD.

Once again, I'd like to draw attention to the fact that the student is seventeen. Do any of you recall being seventeen? It's a time when we all feel a heightened sense of justice. Teenagers are working very hard on defining themselves, and that goes for the student wearing the MAGA cap as much as the student who got herself suspended. While her behavior was absolutely unacceptable, her thoughts, feelings, and, yes, even her leap to being personally offended, are developmentally appropriate.
