To the people on the right, patriots etc. Talking to the left liberals is like talking to drunks, they dont get it. They are snooty, deceptive and just hate the POTUS, the country etc..They lost, and they are pouting..
They will never understand or care to understand the importance of that picture of the Flag being put on the moon. Never, as they are non patriotic and have no faith in this country. They are the cancer in our country. Carry on.
The U.S. Space program was obviously an American endeavor that used whatever resources, technology, and personnel that it could to get the job done. There is nothing wrong with that. All countries, corporations, and people do the exact same thing.
Omitting the American flag purposely is just another way for Hollywood to display their anti American bias. I wouldn't be surprised if they switched flags to the Rainbow Flag being erected on the Moon. That is what they have become.

To the people on the right, Faux-patriots etc. Your outrage about a movie scene is hilarious. To you, patriotism is about symbols, while the real patriots of this country actually try to make it better for all and not just Trump's 30%. You are a cancer in our country that will be cut out in 2020 if not before. Btw, your tears are delicious.
To all the posters making not a movie scene, but the omission of an integral scene the issue: Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's real. Because everything isn't about Trump, especially this.
This movie, starring Canadian pretty boy, Ryan Gosling, and directed by a French-Canadian, brings a globalist agenda to a movie, and is certainly NOT faithful to the book, Armstrong's authorized biography.
Kudos to the second man, Buzz Aldrin, for saying so, and calling them out on it. Apollo 11 was an AMERICAN mission, funded by Americans. In addition, the U.S. (not Canada or France) lost three American astronauts, who died in preparation for what was to have been the first manned mission in the Apollo moonshot program.
So give me a very large break conflating American pride with jingoism--something envious countries always do. If that had been a Canadian or French flag planted on the moon, that would've been depicted in this movie. Believe it.
Americans have much to be proud of in landing the first human on the moon. And no glaring omission by envious puke-pusses will ever change the facts surrounding Apollo 11.
It's Hollywood who hates America and what America has achieved. Even the Russians & Chinese think it's shameful for them to have erased history and replaced it with their own hugely leftist domestic political bias.
Buzz Aldrin was one of the most qualified astronauts in the program, and a PHD scientist from MIT. He was NOT an obnoxious loudmouth. That personality would have not survived the rigorous screening of the astronaut program. Those guys were quickly weeded out.
The Space Race was very much an international collaboration. However, with the end product being an American flag planted by an American of German descent (per Armstrong's Wikipedia). Sure, it's their movie and they can make it the way the want. However, when you omit what is an obviously American act on the Moon (flag-panting), don't be surprised if you anger historians.
