So, the basis of constitutional power is predicated upon whether the act benefits a criminal organization? That’s a new one.

Kids have been dropping out before legalization. Legalization actually means it can be more controlled.

Keep trying though..

I was once a libertarian utopian like yourself and held such fanciful ideas. Then I had life experiences.

That's all that needs to be said. It is pretty easy for most of us to determine who's perception of reality is closer to actual reality.
But that’s not what this topic is about. It’s about science and medical studies on the effects of legalization on dropout rates.

I see the effects of this garbage on kids in that age range every single day. And most here understand that. Not only do they not want their kids using this garbage, they don't want them to grow up to be users, either. And for good reason.
I'm pretty certain that "getting stoned" is conducive to good student performance! One the plus side it may make the school cafeteria food taste better!

So now you think the mind and body of an individual, belongs to the State?

I would say that you were never a true libertarian.

I never drink. I've thought people who get drunk/high were obvious losers since I was a kid.

One country had an epidemic of drug use and overdoses.
They established safe areas for addicts to get a fix, but these areas also encouraged them to get help. They were not judged or scrutinized. But there were people that offered help and it resulted in huge drop in overdoses and many addicts turned their life around as a result.

Instead of treating addicts like criminals, the police would direct them to these places or even take them.

Yes, Mr. Libertarian Utopian Fantacist, if I believe there should be restrictions on chemicals that cause untold damage to our society, I must believe that we all belong to "Da State." Well reasoned.

Yes, exactly!

This is what all the opponents of legalization do not get...keeping drugs illegal is priority #1 for the drug cartels (and DEA). Its the ONLY way both groups can survive and thrive.

I kind of thought the simple fact that knowing a criminal cartels opinion and their opinion are the same...would be enough to make them see how wrong they are!
