If you're talking about Procter & Gamble, that's a corporation that is about as far left as Mitch McConnell.
I quit buying P&G products decades ago - their advertising has been insulting women's intelligence for years. P&G has been telling us that laundry detergent is the key to happiness, and encourages us to "have a happy period".
But now that men feel their intelligence is insulted, P&G is the devil. It is to laugh.
You seem threatened.
And there you have it. Men feel threatened, so they insult women. It must be the fault of all those evill wimmen.
I'm amused how anyone would think that P&G is "left wing" anything. Talk about clueless.
Sometimes, especially if you're in a clearly higher prestige/power group than the other group. Why else would rural to small city blue collar types get offended at a "coastal elitist" comedian having jokes about "rednecks"?
I think it's a very sexist position. But thank you for clarifying this, so we all know your position.

If I am misreading you, how am I doing so?
No, I don't think it's attacking masculinity. I hate bullies, I never catcalled women (being in long relationships from age 14), I avoid "mansplaining" and other aggressive and humiliating behaviour.
My problem is the singling out of a whole group by an add of a large corporation. You know, every group has its' own problems and issues, but for some reason there is one group that you can offend.
It's maybe connected with me being a Jew and being single outed all our history.
So no P&C for me anymore.
I'm not here to praise Gillette, only to mock those "men"who compete to see who can make themselves out as being the biggest victim. Anyone feeling attacked by that ad should probably look into how he can better shore up his masculinity, because damn! - those are some fragile egos, boys.
Completely triggered. Gillette razors will have joiedn Keurig coffee makers and Yeti coolers in the list of stuff that silly man-children are dramatically destroying in self-recorded tantrums. It actually rather surprises me. The ad seems to praise traditional masculine values - be chivalrous, stand up for the weak, be in control of yourself, what you teach the boy is what he'll do as a man - but that's apparently unacceptable to the dudebros.
Not that I'll but any of Gillette's overpriced products - I'm a safety razors and Barbasol guy - but seriously, if you take offense at that ad, it's time for introspection.
Yeah, and I'm sure that all those men who would actually benefit from this PSA are all experiencing an epihany.
"My God why have I been grabbing all those women's as--es all these years?!"
