We don't rule by majority in this country. The President was elected on a platform of building a border wall.

We don't rule by mob majority, we elected a President and he's doing exactly what we elected him to do.

Why did he (Trump) not do the wall in his first two years ? He managed to pass Tax Cuts without any Democrats supporting it. He previously had a deal with the table of wall for DACA/Amnesty which he backed out of.

He doesn't care. This is only an issue now that we have a Democratic house.

The original request was 1.6b, which was in fact agreed to. Then it jumped up to 5.7b, with no justification. They only point to the studies for the 1.6b amount. Far as we know he just wants to put the rest in his pocket.

How is asking for more than you asked for to begin with compromising?

He was elected by a sizeable minority. Most Americans don't want his wall.

The GOP's minority rule is growing very thin with the American public.

"We'll see what happens."

Stay tuned.

This has been explained over and over in here and yet you guys keep asking the same questions over and over in here. The Parrot Club is alive and well. I'm not going to repeat the answers for the umpteenth time again.

If Trump wants to build a wall on another county's dime, as promised, I couldn't care less if a wall is built. American taxpayers should demand better use of their tax dollars than 12th century solutions to a 21st century problem and deficit-funded tax breaks for the people who need them least.

Meanwhile, investment in American human capital and American infrastructure continues to erode while geopolitical and economic rivals aim to surpass America even sooner than we had expected. MAGA

The Mid-term voters didn't speak nearly as loud as you're making it sound, had they soundly rejected the Trump agenda they would have given democrats the Senate instead of giving the GOP an even larger majority.
Because of the number of Democrats up for reelection in 2018, they were expected to lose more seats than they actually lost. The Democrats won a lot more seats in the house than expected. In 2020 the political makeup of the Senators up for reelection flips to more Republicans. Most people are more than fed up with the tax cuts for the wealthy and pile it on the middle class. Let's see how the Republicans do in 2020.

The last tax cuts for the wealthy is not paying for itself as promised. Trump wants billions for a wall when better, cheaper methods are now available. Holding federal workers hostage is not acceptable. Not paying the Coast Guard is totally unacceptable. They are part of our military. They are part of our first line of defense against drug smugglers.

Just what are these better, cheaper methods to deter "illegal entry"? We tried high tech stuff a few years back and it failed so we scrapped it. E-verify will only catch those illegals on a payroll not those being paid in cash and until birthright citizenship is denied to the kids of illegal aliens they will still come here for that. And last but not least not all illegals are coming here to work. Certainly criminals, the drug runners and those from known terrorist countries aren't looking for jobs.

Since even the Border Patrol says we need some good physical barriers I wonder why you leftists think you know better than them?

But how many voted for him? The majority don't want the wall. It's too bad he offered a promise that he couldn't keep. He has zero concern about the southern border or anybody in this country. His goal is to get a "wall" so he can say he built a "wall." Period. I noticed that the Dems now want to offer $5.7 billion for additional border security. Why don't we start with that? Reopen the government and negotiate from there.
