It is almost as if they think the US exists in splendid isolation from the greater world.

Actually poverty is at an all-time low and for that you can thank capitalism. The 330 million country has a bigger and better economy then the countries with 1,000 million people. And that is including the fact that we have 10+ aircraft carriers and the biggest baddest military in the world. THAT, my friend, is mixed economy crony capitalism. If we actually had true free-market capitalism, it would be twice as good.

Furthermore, poverty is a choice. People choose it by intentionally screwing up their lives by drinking, drugging, making random babies, not taking care of business, not studying in school, etc. Poverty is impossible if you follow a life of common sense and don’t get a rare disease or injury.

And if “uplifting all of our players” means you taxing and thieving and stealing from the good people for the unearned and undeserved benefit of the bad people, you can forget that bs right now.

Lack of money is an individual problem to be solved by the individual without the money. And the problem is solved by being of value to someone and selling them your time and talent. Not stealing from them using leftist-collectivist entitlements.
