President's in a Presidential election year struggle to get anything done....especially if they don't control the House AND Senate.

Trump has a short window right now to work a deal with China...because of the last election he will ever run next year.

Does that make him some diabolical politician - no -- just reality.
The purpose of this whole thread is to make Trump look treasonous and if Trump made that statement, it would've been used against him the same way the hypothetical use of foreign intel is now.

I know what you are saying is correct, but that wasn't the point of my post.

Let me ask you, if you pay for dirt, does that make it legal if it comes from a foreign government? If you answer, think long and hard about your answer....
No Clinton blinders; she was a flawed candidate.

But, you seem to excuse foreign interference in a US election. There is no excuse, for anyone, as the FEC Commissioner's letter states.

Do you see ANY reason that foreign interference is OK?

Absolutely. We do it so we can not condemn others for doing the same. When we quit doing it, I will then condemn others.

Flawed?

Understatement of the year.

So . . now you've turned to Romney (who lost by the way) and totally changed the argument. Whether or not one agreed with Romney is a completely different issue.

My premise is correct; there was nothing wrong with Obama saying what he did WHILE HE WAS President. If he lost the election - then obviously - he would have no 'flexibility'.

What if the US interferes in foreign elections. We know they did under Obama.

Cool. So it's OK for Trump to say the exact same now. And he made the statement this whole thread is about WHILE HE WAS PRESIDENT.

We're not talking about the same statement though, are we now? YOU brought up the old 'I'll have more flexibility . . . " and I responded.

At no time did Obama EVER say that he would welcome interference from a foreign government in the elections - as Trump just did.

There simply is no comparison between the two statements.

None.

Donald Trump promotes willful ignorance and the dumbing down of America. Is there any point to public debate in TrumpWorld where no one is encouraged and hardly anyone has been taught how to think, while millions have been taught what to think?

Pardon the paraphrasing, Mr. Hitchens.

And, May God Bless America...she needs it!

My point is that, in any context, if Trump would've said what Obama said, you would be on here screaming treason like every other leftist. My post is about a glaring double standard which I guess you are unable to detect. And that's why you _ARE_ a leftist.
