I covered that. It's a worthless statement. You were attempting to demean people over a worthless statement.

How am I "demeaning" people by saying that many adults don't read books? It's a fact. If you want to argue that it's not a fact, then please do so. You're being very defensive over nothing.

Now go after things in here worth getting upset about.

I don't, but you can't stop stupid people from taking on unsustainable levels of debt to live beyond their means. They use debt to fund that which they have not earned and think nothing of it until they whine and complain that they've been "exploited" when the catastrophic financial position into which they've VOLUNTARILY plunged themselves becomes too much of a burden.

How so? Let's take the bank bailout for example... The bank bailout has been repaid and actually made a profit for the Fed Gov:
This is so silly it's hardly worth a response. But I will give it one college try.

Go to a Casino. Or start a business. When you run out of money in your pocket you will are done for. Period. Someone else gets to buy your business, real estate or whatever for less...often much less. Sometimes it's pennies on the dollar.

Can't pay your rent? Out the door you go, your possessions on the side of the road and your credit rating in the dumps.

But, wait. You are extolling the virtues of taking that renter and, say, "lending" him a couple hundred thousand so he or she can pay the rent and then invest in their failing business......because, you know, if they had this chance to get back on their feet they might pay the money back with interest.

NO. (he or she doesn't get that chance....maybe they should instead of Wall Street?)

Our system allows MILLIONS of people to fail like I have mentioned above. It doesn't give them a second chance - it doesn't give them money to hold them over a medical, family or other emergency. The Wolves are Waiting right at the door...ready to snap up and flip that foreclosed house or gobble up that business at a discount.

As to the CEO biz, I didn't say that all CEOs are sociopaths or that all sociopaths are CEOs. Chainsaw Al (look him up if you don't know who he is)l lived in my development and was hated by even all the other CEOs. But there is a giant club and I am intimately familiar with it. I have met many "top people" who have ZERO except they use the right words and are tall and speak in a deep voice.

I have also met many leaders who are good at it. IMHO, they run the same gamut as, say, your common contractor or persons off the street. That is, some are good, some are fair and some suck. None have magic that makes them worth a Billion dollar pensions (United Health CEO). I'd want to see someone levitate and then somehow monetize that...for them to be worth more than a couple million per year.

Need I quote the great CEO line of this century "YOU'RE FIRED". There, now I feel better. Gotta fire people every day before noon.

It's a lie. We lost money on the bail out. I've covered this many times.

But maybe if we give them time they will pay it back with interest?
