I find it humorous that this poll labels some politicians as traitors for refusing to help ICE and yet praises the antics of Comrade Trump who has placed the word of Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un over that of the US intelligence agencies. Comrade Trump, a draft dodger, a coward, who did nothing when N. Korea return Otto Warmbier to the US deaf and blind after being tortured. Comrade Trump refused to accept the word of US intelligence on the murder and mutilation of Jamal Khashoggi instead believing the Saudi's. Comrade Trump openly invited Russia to hack HRC emails and interfere in US elections.
I am not surprised to read a ton of misinformation here at CD. Many here have been manipulated into falsely believing that immigrants are the sole cause of joblessness, crime, etc. The people in charge want us to believe this fallacy as a decoy while they steal everything that isn't nailed down. In the marijuana case I agree with the states but that is mainly because I am so adamantly against the ridiculous classification cannabis has as a Schedule 1 controlled substance. I’m not sure I agree with willfully being uncooperative with the Federal govt’s attempt to uphold immigration law.
I see your point about the marijuana laws. Here is the problem.
We either follow the Laws that our elected Representatives pass OR we cherry pick the Laws we want to follow and ignore the Laws we don’t want to follow.
That changes this Country away from equal Justice & Law and Order into Special Laws & Justice for Special Folks. I don’t want to go there, I want CongressCritters to fix what needs fixing, not just follow the Laws THEY like and ignore the ones they are too afraid to Fix.

What a Sanctuary city/state does is simply not investigate whether they are citizens to begin with. Which is not their job. Nor can the feds compel them to. 10th amendment.
When they actively hide the illegal aliens from Federal Authorities and sneak them out of Court rooms to avoid Federal Authorities .... that not 10th Amendment and it’s not anything but breaking US Law.

Agreed on that point. That goes too far if they know they are illegal and actively hide them.
But just being a "sanctuary" city/state and not investigating citizenship or providing info to the feds is following the law.
Now radical Trump supporters care about obstruction. None of the above.
Under the Constitution citizens and non-citizens are legally entitled to the full and due process of the law. They do not have to allow anyone into their living quarters without a warrant signed off by a judge...and they are entitled to an attorney.

Wait, what? You’re advocating for the Federal gov’t to prosecute marijuana in states where recreational use has been deemed legal? Really??? Why may I ask? Most Americans, including myself, would strongly disagree.
Immigration enforcement is the job of the feds. Local authorities are not given budget nor power to deal with it.
Are saying it would increase their phone bill.. I wonder which part of Sanctuary cities' budget goes in jailing illegal aliens for crimes they commit over and over again and/or free health care/education as compared to their phone bill.
