I am not surprised to read a ton of misinformation here at CD. Many here have been manipulated into falsely believing that immigrants are the sole cause of joblessness, crime, etc. The people in charge want us to believe this fallacy as a decoy while they steal everything that isn't nailed down. In Denver, democrats protesting the ICE facility there ripped down the U.S. flag and put up the Mexican flag.

Waiting for democrat leadership to denounce it......................

B.S., and we all know it.

sanctuary city

noun
noun: sanctuary city; plural noun: sanctuary cities

  1. (in North America) a city whose municipal laws tend to protect undocumented immigrants from deportation or prosecution, despite federal immigration law.
"mayors in those cities reaffirmed their status as sanctuary cities"
And it is obvious you did NOT read the LAW I posted.

Just one of the sections., "Encouraging/Inducing -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv) makes it an offense for any person who -- encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.

And your "source" is jut a bunch of lawyers giving THEIR OPINIONS, whereas I posted the law itself. Maybe it is too hard for you to comprehend what it states.
The feds cannot compel states to enforce immigration law. That is flat out unconstitutional. What don’t you get about that?

They need to be arrested, and if willing to comply, released with no penalty. If it happens again they get charged with a Federal crime.

They are all constitutional scholars or so they think.

Must be some mental gymnastics going on to justify why none of these state/local officials are being charged...

so if you have a secret raid plan to find illegals and capture them for deportation, why in the world would you announce it to the nation/world unless you were doing it solely for political points for your base of gullibles/deplorables? isn't that like telling drug dealers that you're planning to raid them a week out - something doesn't seem right

Doing the right thing for the sake of the nation sometimes demands obstruction. America is a great nation, but it is not perfect. Sometimes it takes a struggle to correct our imperfections.

Thank God there are still Americans with the courage to stand up and try to right a wrong. When we lose that, we lose everything.

The way mj legalization has been effected is indeed illegal. In my state (WA) voters voted to legalize mj. Realizing that it was still illegal under federal law, the WA governor Jay Inslee, and then atty. gen. Eric Holder signed an agreement to ignore federal law.

Article 1 section 1 of the US Constitution states:
Quote:
All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States
.
Neither the atty gen. or WA gov. are members of Congress. Hence it was unconstitutional and illegal for them to effectively change federal law.

Be careful for what you wish. If one rule can be broken that helps you, another rule can be broken that harms you.

This is exactly what they are doing. Lori Lightfoot is doing this in Chicago.
