It's amazing what TDS can do to one's mind. The mental gymnastics it takes to take the phrase "We would like you to do us a favor" while mentioning the 2016 election and the Bidens in the entirety of the call and definitely saying that constitutes a bribe is a real doozy especially when juxtaposing it against Biden clearly stating you're not getting the billion dollars unless you fire the prosecutor.
The contempt/obstruction of Congress is even more laughable. Schiff and Nadler use their privilege as heads of their committees to deny the subpoenas of Republican witnesses but the president is obstructing Congress by using his constitutionally afforded executive privilege...lol. The Democrats didn't even challenge the president's use of executive privilege in the courts which would have actually given them some grounds for bringing that charge if the courts ruled against Trump and he still refused to allow those witnesses to testify. But yeah, it's the president who is "shredding the Constitution". Lol.
I'm far from a Trumpie and I agree with the OP. This just makes the Dems looks very desperate and sad. I rather just let Trump be an idiot and keep tweeting stupid things and get himself elected out of office in 2020 but instead, this is only going to backfire on Democrats because it makes them look very very desperate.

Mr. Trump used the immense powers of the American presidency to pressure an ally to open investigations that would help him personally. That much is clear just from the call memo of the July 25 conversation between President Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.
Any American who has not read the call memo should do so, because it is as shocking today to realize that Mr. Trump said the jaw-dropping phrase, “I would like you to do us a favor,†as it was the day it was released. He followed that by expressing his desire for Ukraine to investigate the 2016 election and the Bidens. That is sufficient in itself to prove unacceptable wrongdoing by the president.
You guys keep saying this helps him personally. Really? Biden is the weakest candidate out there and is not the nominee for the democratic party at this time. Just leading polls means nothing or hillary would have been president 12 yrs ago.

This is like saying you get a bill on the 3rd that is due on the 30th. You pay it on the 20th and it clears on the 27th. But you get a late fee notice on the 26th and a fee attached.
