They are also MUCH SMALLER, with much less population than many countries in which they are compared. Also, until relatively recently have a homogenous culture where more people are on the same page, and know how to act within that culture.

Then, for whatever reason, their bought and paid for leadership decided to throw a spanner into the works by importing Muslim refugees whom they knew would never assimilate. How's that working out?

They are no utopia, however in termns of the happiness index they do well.

Whilst as you point out many are starting to develop new social problems due to immigration.

I also wonder if the truly ambitious from such countries don't just head overseas to make money and to enjoty better weather, hours of daylight and sunshine.

So?

Define "relatively recently". In 2010, 14% or so were foreign born.

From what I've read, Sweden also has health care vouchers. When Speaker Paul Ryan proposed a similar system for Medicare, there was a cacophony of howling.

Why does the far-left hate Sweden????

Sweden and most [if not all] Nordic nations were practically 100% native-Scandinavian until the 1970s. The 14% foreign population all moved there during the last 40 to 50 years, which is definitely "relatively recently".

Edit, i forgot to add this info. 4% of Sweden's population have two parents who were foreign born, while 7% have one parent who was not born in Sweden. That's on top of the 14% who are foreign born. So at least 25% of their population is not ethnic Swedish.

Sweden's government also doesn't count third generation immigrants as part of the population that has a foreign background, but groups them up with ethnic Swedes instead...So at least 25% of their population is of a foreign background and it may be closer to a third really. That is a huge change for a country that was known to be one of the most homogeneous on the planet just a few decades ago.

It's unfortunate that our public school funding is from property taxes meaning that only well to do people get good schools. And some kids are left with literally not enough textbooks. How in the FORK are they supposed to get anywhere in life?

Word to the wise... I wouldn't depend on wikipedia for info. Anyone can edit a wikipedia entry, and the info you have depended on to make your point doesn't even have a citation to substantiate it.

P.S., have you figured out that years 2020-1995 is 25 years, yet?
When you are in a hole, stop digging. The figures you have are for wealth inequality, not income inequality. Nowhere has gini coefficients for income inequality up at 0.85 or 0.9, that should be a flag to you that your source has misquoted the data.

Not true at all. Think of two of the highest-funded (per student) school districts in the US: Camden, NJ and Washington, DC. Both have abysmal results. Think of the Chicago area's suburban school districts vs. Chicago public Schools. Chicago Public Schools are better-funded than nearly all suburban districts yet have inferior results. There is no correlation between school funding and results.

To repeat:
Quote:
"The Gini Coefficient or Gini Index is the most commonly used measurement of inequality. The Gini Index ranges from zero to one. A value of zero represents complete equality, where every single person owns an equal share of wealth. On the other extreme, a value of one represents total inequality which you can think of as a single person owning all of the global wealth.

With a Gini Index of 0.852, the United States ranks as the country with the fourth highest amount of income inequality. Below are the ten countries with the highest inequality and the ten with the lowest, according to the report.

10 Countries With The Highest Amount Of Income Inequality (Based On Gini Index)

Netherlands: 0.902
Russia: 0.879
Sweden: 0.867
United States: 0.852"
https://www.forbes.com/sites/camilom.../#554dfe282ede

The article then goes on to differentiate net wealth from income inequality.

Wealth inequality data:

Quote:
Dollar billionaires per 10 million population, 2017

Switzerland: 35
Sweden: 32
Norway: 30
USA: 18
Denmark: 17
Australia: 17
Germany: 15
UK: 8
Italy: 7
France: 6
Japan: 3

Nordic countries are successful because they are whites. Whites even made Iceland work for God’s sake. Race and evolution are a very real thing.
