Anyone else against IMF loaning Iran the $5 billion it is requesting.
I would be surprised if they spent event a quarter of that on this.
Their supreme leader is a radical fanatic and I believe he would use it for military, nuclear, terrorism, ect.
Not against it at all.
This is a global issue, solving it in all the world does nothing if Iran is excluded from that. The money will be tracked, they are not just dumping it over there, plus even their whacko leaders understand they have a very serious problem on their hands with this virus.
Never should have gotten to this point in NY. Failed state and city leadership. People who won’t use common sense. You fixate on the very last part of this whole process.......as if the previous 99% of the process never even happened. SHOULD NOT BE NEEDING 1 million beds and respirators!! Insane people and leaders of NYC......crazy!
Because the kids won't get their food. That's what he said. Took a teacher union lawsuit.
I read his whole diatribe. Kids won't get food. Kids have nowhere to go. Not one mention of academics, not one.
And that happens anytime teachers ask for schools to close out of snow as well.
So what are the local convenience store and general store owners saying about the state jacking up minimum wage recently?? Well, among other effects, they will have to stop making their own sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goods, etc. that they sell. It’s much more expensive to pay the labor costs involved in making your own, versus buying pre-made crap from a wholesaler. So, hello crap that was made two weeks ago, 1,000 miles away. Goodbye homemade, fresh stuff.
Thanks a lot, liberals. What’s that?? You’ve never heard of “unintended consequences”??...

You want fresh food? Learn how to make a sandwich yourself. You may find it difficult, but it's not rocket science.

I agree. A typical leftist must have difficulty eating during these difficult time since their deli is closed. Leftists won't lift a finger to make their own sandwiches.

This sounds to me like the type of reason not to feed a family when one person in the family is an alcoholic. Wouldn't some of the money go to buy alcohol.
Well there are things you can do to monitor money. If they need food, you buy the food for them etc.
A study in macaques infected with the new coronavirus suggested that once infected, the monkeys produce neutralizing antibodies and resist further infection. But it is unclear how long the monkeys, or people, would remain immune.
Do you have a link? I am very against animal testing and cannot believe they would purposefully inject coronavirus into monkeys .
Well we have broken the 1,000 death mark nationally.
We were at 100 deaths on March 17th.
Ten fold increase in approx. 8 days.
Hopefully the restrictions implemented on the country will show up over the next couple of weeks and we will not see the exponential increase. If we get to April 3 with less than 3,000 total deaths I'd think that what we are doing has been beneficial. The problem is that many more areas are going to be hitting the steepest part of the curve in the next couple of weeks.
