I know it's tough times and you're unable to get your pre-made sandwiches due to the pandemic. Times like these you'll have to purchase your deli meat yourself and figure out how to make your own sandwich.
Agreed, we can’t shut down our whole society for the infirm.
Let them take special precautions to isolate themselves.
The reason we are "shut down" is largely to prevent the spread and prevent a collapse of the healthcare system as the hospitals would be overloaded. This is why we are trying to flatten the curve. What you and others are suggesting that we "re-open" the economy reverses the purpose of flattening the curve. New York is dealing with this due to the amount of ventilators FEMA gave them, versus what they actually need to save lives. New York is becoming the new Italy, where the doctors have to play God and chose who lives, who dies.
Changing the subject again, you just can’t help yourself.
It is precisely the subject and that is what bothers you. You blamed and faulted a guy for believing and acting on something Trump said and I pointed that out to you.

almost 2/3 of NY population lives in the metro area. We can only assume the tax revenues are a similar or even greater ratio. The reality is the Mayor and the Governor (whoever they are) have to work well and hand-in-hand for anything to go well in the State.
That is about deBlasio, not Cuomo, not Cuomo and deBlasio, deBlasio himself. deBlasio has been not a great leader. How he is still mayor of New York astounds me. He hardly ever wants to close school regardless of the crisis. It can be a snow storm that puts teachers who need to arrive at work at risk or a dangerous virus that can put teachers at risk of getting sick. I have continually seen that of my friends that work in NYC schools from friends who I went to school with on Long Island.

Because the kids won't get their food. That's what he said. Took a teacher union lawsuit.
I read his whole diatribe. Kids won't get food. Kids have nowhere to go. Not one mention of academics, not one.

I’d be sick of NYC, too....with a mayor and governor who want all New Yorkers dead......

Never should have gotten to this point in NY. Failed state and city leadership. People who won’t use common sense. You fixate on the very last part of this whole process.......as if the previous 99% of the process never even happened. SHOULD NOT BE NEEDING 1 million beds and respirators!! Insane people and leaders of NYC......crazy!
