Agree. 30% unemployment means forget the 2020s and the 2030s, at least.
Millennials thought they had a rough start? This is going to be hell on gen Z. So much so I bet it does become a tipping point for some major economic/social change as they age.

The future of America would come into question. And again 600 deaths so far. Even with 10 times a multi decade depression is not a far trade off at all.
A few months ago I was not all that impressed with the guy, but with this pandemic, he is showing true leadership. I feel reassured when I see him on TV. He is in charge and is doing a great job as a leader.
Many would argue this was coming, and not by government. The airlines are hemorrhaging money because people don't want to fly knowing Covid-19 can be spread by airborne and also surfaces. Many flights since the initial wave of social distancing had as many flight crew (pilots and flight attendants) as passengers. How long can airlines fly at a loss?

Not really, I attribute it to the economy. Unless Trump is going to allow them to write off each and every losing flight, there is no reason for the airlines to continue to fly at a loss, Florida quarantine period or not.

It is a cruel, but valid strategy, if and only if people decided to completely ignore the fact they might get the virus and it could kill them.
The problem with the approach is people don't want to catch the virus and don't want to go to work among people who are infected.
People were going to work every day despite the fact a certain percentage of them were killed on the road on the way to and from work. So there is a certain risk level that people will take to continue working.
The problem a lot of us have is the approach taken by the Trump administration has resulted in the virus exposing the maximum number of people over a long period of time.

Hats off to him.
I'm don't live in New York but he absolutely is doing an amazing job. True leader.
